KANSAS CITY -- Kansas State seniors Jacob Pullen and Curtis Kelly missed Tuesday night's game with UNLV because they accepted impermissible benefits on the purchase of clothing at a department store, school officials announced just before tipoff.

Pullen will also miss the next two games.

Kelly's status remains unclear.

"These young men have worked hard to represent themselves and Kansas State in a positive manner," said KSU coach Frank Martin. "Having said that, they made made a mistake in judgment and have to pay a price."

Kansas State is 9-2 and ranked 11th in the latest AP poll.

it's okay, I understand how a simpleton like you must be confused by intelligence. They were stupid to violate the rules that they already know not to. Where there's smoke there is fire means they probably were not the only one's and there is likely to be more to come out from this later... or be swept under the rug if K-State can pull it off without getting caught.  Frigure it out!

I am glad an example is being made of these two mental giants.  Why would you at anytime think that it would be alright to receive free merchandise from a store?  Is there a problem with the water in Kansas or is it just another example of these athletes thinking that they are entitled to everything and need to earn nothing?  Its too bad the suspensions are so short though, I would like to see these guys out a little longer than three games.

How embarrassing for all K-Staters!  Pullen is killing me this year with his lackluster play combined with this new development.  This is definitely not the way I expected a senior preseason All-American to act!  K-State has been lacking leadership all year and maybe this game is a blessing in disguise.  The last few minutes of the first half of the UNLV game was the most energy and confidence I have seen K-State show all year.  Maybe this will give someone in the shadows a chance to step up and show what they have!  We will see in the second half!

So..they should be suspended longer? On an assumption that this "smoke" is only a part of a "fire"? I don't get why you are upset. I mean, I get what YOU think you are saying, but I don't think YOU really know why you are saying it. I'm sorry, your post has confused me. Commonsense is a rather ironic name.
