The Bowling Green men's basketball program is expected to announce Wednesday that it has received a donation representing the largest in school history and MAC basketball history, multiple sources told CBSSports.com.

The donation will be used to increase the program's recruiting budget, grow compensation packages for coaches and enhance student support on academic and conditioning fronts, one source said. The money will also help the school secure an undetermined number of buy games previously unavailable.

Louis Orr is the coach at Bowling Green.

The Falcons are 2-1 in the MAC heading into Wednesday's game against Ohio.

Its nice to hear the recruiting budget is going up especially with B.G in the process of building a new arena. Hopefully this can bring some better ballers and coaches into the program. There is no reason B.G can't try to compete with the likes of Kent St. and Akron to become more of power in MAC b-ball.  Hell they haven't been good since Keith Mcleod was gaming it up in 2001-02 season.
