... here's how my top four lines would look:

No. 1 seeds: Ohio State, Kansas, Pittsburgh, BYU
No. 2 seeds: Notre Dame, Duke, Purdue, Texas
No. 3 seeds: San Diego State, Wisconsin, Louisville, Syracuse
No. 4 seeds: St. John's, Connecticut, North Carolina, Florida

If I had to project the field right now ...

Due to the Pod system, they can easily get the number 1 seed.  They would be placed in Denver, since it is so close to them, and that one plays on Thurs-Sat. Then 2 regions play on Thurs-Sat, and two on Fri-Sun.  So there is no conflict with BYU being a 1 seed.

If I had to project the field right now ...

North carolina will win out including the ACC tourney and get a no.1  whoever wins the acc always gets a no.1...the last 2 national titles rest 8 miles apart ...i dont care what people think about conference rank the titles always goes thru duke or carolina period!

If I had to project the field right now ...

No teams from the Big East get out of the Sweet 16 cause none of them are an elite team.

Not only would I bet my entire bank account against that, I'd bet that at least 2 make it past the sweet 16. Between Pitt, ND, Cuse, St. Johns and UCONN, I'd feel safe with that assumption. But then you get to throw in the experienced coaches in Louisville, the constant threats in Gtown and Nova, and the wildcard Cincy team, and you're looking at potentially half of the Elite 8 coming from the BEast.
Not to mention there are 7 teams in the Big East that have 0 or 1 nonconference loss. That's absurd. No other power conference has more than 2 besides the Big XII.

BYU wouldn't take a number one seed if you gave it to them.  BYU being a religious institution doesn't participate in athletics on Sunday.  They can only receive a number two seed since all the number ones are on a Friday-Sunday Schedule.  2nd seed in Tucson os locked up for the cougars.  I checked the NCAA schedule for games perhaps I read it incorrectly but it looks like a 2 seed for BYU.

If I had to project the field right now ...

1 seeds.
OSU should be the #1 all around assuming they don't lose, but with a revolving door at the 1 spot this season who knows what will happen. the winner between Kansas and texas for the big 12 title should be a 1 seed. Power conference, both play good basketball. both have stumbled. Pitt will still scrape up a 1 spot if they don't lose again, if they lose 1 more time, possibly to nova, i will remove them from my 1 seeds. The last 1 seed should go to BYU, they have a better body of work, and only 2 losses. The highest scoring player in the nation. If they prove to be a bust, oh well. Duke and other teams should be able to show they are better, they have not.
2 seeds
The loser between Kansas and texas will claim the 1st 2 seed. Purdue will get a 2 seed, although i do not think they will go far. Notre Dame will get a 2 seed, they have proven themselves worthy to me, even though they have had some bad losses. they have some good wins. And Duke will get the last 2 seed, but it depends how they do against UNC and how they do in the ACC tourny. 3 chances is enough for them, few quality wins, if any (UNC)
3 seeds. Louisville will get a 3 seed, doing very well in the Big East, beat Pitt, close out the season and a 3 seed is a victory for a shaky start to the season. Syracuse is finally getting back into the game, after a rough stretch they are clawing back with a solid set of victories and good record in the big east, comparativelyWisconsin, will get a 3 seed, even after they lose to OSU before the big 10 tournament starts. My only problem with them is they do not play anywhere near the same away from home, all 6 losses are on the road. But we will see. Lastly, North Carolina i feel we earn a  3 seed. Not because they are far and away better than a lot of teams, but because SDSU has a horrible resume, and having 3 Big East teams getting 3 seeds will make the bracket makers nervous.
4 seeds. St. Johns is on fire. Plain and simple, they are clicking. Are they peaking right now or is there gas left in the tank? who knows, but right now they are playing some exciting basketball. SDSU, oh how the mighty have fallen. Their best wins are against... UNLV? which usually is a good thing, but UNLV isnt how it usually is. SDSU has good stats, but have trouble against solid guards like Jimmer. I worry how far they can make it, but only 2 losses is good regardless of your schedule. UCONN, they are bringing it back. If they can close out the season, they will get a 4 seed easily. Last 4 seed....... I will have to go with. I really don't know. now comes some mediocre teams that are okay, but idk if any deserve a 4 seed. Florida? G-Town? Arizona? Texas A&M? Might as well be picking these out of a hat. If Florida walks away winning out including the SEC tourny, they will get the last 4 see. Gtown, Zona, A&M will scrap for the 5 seeds.

If I had to project the field right now ...

Not to split hairs but the average pts per game for BE teams is, 62,62,66,66,68,69,70,70,71,72,72,73,73,75,75,75,77,77.  Hardly standing around holding the ball and "point shaving".
