Utah has fired Jim Boylen as its men's basketball coach, a source told CBSSports.com on Saturday.

An official announcement is expected soon.

The decision comes two days after a column headlined "It's time for Boylen to go" was published in the Salt Lake City Tribune. Boylen coached the Utes for four seasons and made the NCAA tournament once. He had a losing record in the Mountain West Conference each of the other three years.

Utah finished 6-10 in the league this season.

He did take us to the NCAA tournament his second year, so not all 4 years were misery.  The last two have been tough to watch though.

YES! YES! YES! Hallejuah, amen!

Boylen destroyed Utah basketball, worst coaching hire in the history of Ute athletics. Don't let the door hit you on the way out! Four years of misery is over!
