Richmond's Chris Mooney is interviewing at Georgia Tech on Sunday, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Mooney completed his sixth season at Richmond with a Friday loss to Kansas in the Sweet 16.

He appears to be the primary candidate to replace Paul Hewitt at Georgia Tech.

Mooney is 112-87 in six seasons at Richmond. The Princeton graduate has made the NCAA tournament each of the past two years. He's won at least 20 games each of the past three seasons thanks to a 29-8 record this season.

Sounds like he will be a perfect fit in Atlanta.  Hope he is ready for the rigors of Tobacco Road and the ACC pressure cooker.  Most coaches yearn to ply their trade in the BEST basketball conference in the USA.  Metro Atlanta is a hotbed for future NBA stars and I hope he is ready to recruit a lot of the local super talents.

He fits the GT image, but not sure he's going to blend with the GT reality.
