Florida State junior Chris Singleton announced Wednesday that he will enter the NBA Draft.

The 6-foot-9 forward will sign with an agent.

His college career is over.

Singleton averagd 13.1 points and 6.8 rebounds this season despite being limited for three games and missing six others because of an injury suffered in February. Still, the Georgia native helped the Seminoles make the NCAA tournament. FSU finished 23-11 after losing to VCU in overtime of the Sweet 16.

DraftExpress.com projects Singleton to be picked in the first round.

The NBA Draft is June 26.

He's a shut down defender, can do everything on the court, was the ACC defensive player of the year.  He just needs to learn to shoot a higher percentage IMO, that's it.

This kid is not a project, he has NBA length/size/atlhletic ability already. He won't be drafted on "NBA potential", he's already there.

Singleton is good, but i dont think he should be a first round pick. I think he should have stayed and gotten his degree but thats just my opinion. He doesnt have the tools to be a star in the NBA. He will mostly be riding the bench for his career, or be a bruce bowen type player, only brought in for defensive situations.

Okay people, a few typos or lost trains-of-thoughts, does not mean the information given isn't worthy.  However, I don't think Singleton is ready for the NBA.  He's an average player on an above average ACC team.  Nothing more, nothing less.  He reminds me a bit of Joakim Noah.  No spectacular part of his game.  Decent shooter and rebounder.  Where Noah blossomed, I don't think we'll hear his name again.  But, good luck Chris!

Gary,

Pretty sure they lost to VCU, not VSU, and it was the Round of 16, not 32

"after losing to VSU in overtime of the Round of 32"

they also lost to VCU in the round of 16.
