Thank you, Wake Forest.

By beating Duke late Sunday you managed to make next weekend's showdown bigger than it was already going to be, and it was already going to be super huge. Now, it's going to be super duper huge. Because barring some voting irregularities the top two teams in the rankings will meet Saturday at FedExForum.

It should be No. 1 Memphis vs. No. 2 Tennessee.

It should be two rivals with a combined record of 48-2.

It should be no wonder that the asking price for courtside seats is up to $10,000 each.

Memphis vs. Tennessee just got a lot bigger

good question,  if memphis loses it will be there first and teams ranked 2-10 have 2 plus loses already, tennessee would probably move to #1 but memphis shouldn't drop past 2nd

if tennessee loses it will be their 3rd but you can't see them dropping past 4th, to lose at the #1 teams home place, the score will have a major factor in both cases here but i expect the game to be won in the final minute, no blow out here

UT's RPI is #1. Which means they have played the toughest schedule in the country. They got beat by Texas early when the team was still gelling. Stop being like the AP voters and going on name regoginiton only, with the UNC's, Duke's, and Kansas'. UT is as good as any team in america, maybe not better but just as good and can compete with anyone.

Memphis is a very athletic team.  They are more athletic than UT and that's sayin' a lot.  Edge:  Memphis.

Memphis is playing at the Fed Ex Forum where they haven't lost in 150 years.  Edge:  Memphis.

Memphis is riding an undefeated season trying to silence the critics who say they play in a cream-puff league.  Edge: Memphis.

Memphis has size and depth in the paint, and UT is a little small down low.  Edge:  Memphis.

Memphis has a great coach who knows how to prepare kids for big games.  UT has a great coach too.  Edge:  Even.

Chris Lofton.  Edge:  Tennessee wins the game.

Anyone else hear the rumor that UT may break out some black uni's?  I'm torn. . .I like that it would add and extra dimension of excitement for our guys, but I'm kinda a stickler for the traditional orange and white (plus black and orange remind me of a pumpkin)

Great posts from most of you guys... Here's another question... Say the Big Orange pull it out in Memphis. Will the polls hurdle the Vols with 2 losses over the Tigers with one loss and give the Vols the #1 spot? You would have to, wouldn't you?

Go Big Orange!

Memphis vs. Tennessee just got a lot bigger

This game is going to be a complete circus by the time saturday arrives. I think it will be close with someone probably winning by 5+ points. Memphis clearly has the edge with the game in  fedex, but we have a good road record. One thing is for sure though somebody has to lose just hope its the Tigers!!!!!!   GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!!

Unbelievable!!!!  Go Tigers!  This will be, beyond a doubt, about bragging rights in the state for the whole year.  If Tennessee wins, which will probably not happen, Memphis will reset and refocus.  If Memphis wins, which is more than likely, I hope it will further calm down the nay sayers that disrespect the Tigers.

vu83,

U dont make any sense.  I failed to see ur point.   Vandy didnt beat Vols at Knoxville.  Vandy and Memphis never played each other this season.

It doesnt matter if Vols or Memphis who will win on this Saturday.  TIme will come and tell us that if Vols or Memphis could prove everybody that they can play in Final Four. If not,  then We know that Vols or Memphis could  be overrated team?  Regular season dont mean anything to me.  Vols barely beat any SEC opponents at road games so lately. Memphis is playing weakest schedules this year.
