No. 1 Memphis vs. No. 2 Tennessee is approaching

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- We're about six hours from tip-off and the buildup is unlike anything I've ever seen for a regular season contest. It's No. 1 vs. No. 2, and that has a lot to do with it. But really, this is much more than that because of the rivalry between the schools, coaches, players and fanbases -- all of which made for an interesting Friday night on Beale Street.

Every other person out was wearing Memphis gear or Tennessee gear.

Random bar conversations always drifted to free throw shooting and fullcourt presses.

The game is all the talk in this city. And though you've probably read a number of columns about the icy relationship between John Calipari and Bruce Pearl, I opted to mostly avoid the subject this week. Why, you ask? Because I wrote that column last season.

If you want to revisit it just click this link.

And while you're doing that I'm gonna shower and head downtown.

You are right. I never noticed that before. I wonder if writing bigger, longer words increases my score?
So far no. But ambiguity and mortal compensation delineate proper protocol.

Beale street was rocking and now they can sing some more blues. Memphis and Tennessee played a hard fought game  and  it has been awhile since so many fans sat in absolute shock after an event unable to speak.

I picked Tennessee by a three-ball. I feel vindicated. With all respect to Memphis' record, the SEC is a stronger conference than C-USA. But the fact that this was such an unusual intersection of both ranking (#1 vs. #2), proximity, and style of play, it promised to be a very close game. But in the end, I felt the choice was clear.

I am not an expert by any means but the bold letters, the repeat 0's and the repeat exclamation marks do usually bring down a score

My suggestion, an again I am not an expert, would be to do a preview pre posting then change and re-preview if the score of what you saying is important. I tend to just say what I want anyway.

I score a 43 on a post to a blog that wasn't offensive lame or bashing? I really don't understand this rating system. I guess I'll never attain the status needed to display an avatar.
