Bill Walker struggled.

Dominic James did not.

Here's Tuesday morning's edition of What You Need To Know.

Notable game from Monday: Texas took advantage of Bill Walker's 0-of-14 shooting effort and beat Kansas State to maintain its lead in the Big 12 standings. D.J. Augustin finished with 25 points and five assists in the 74-65 victory. KSU's Michael Beasley's got 30 points and 15 rebounds in the loss.

Notable performance from Monday: Dominic James looked like something more than a 33 percent 3-pointer shooter against Villanova when he made 5-of-8 shots from behind the arc to finish with 25 points in Marquette's 85-75 victory. The junior point guard sank 9-of-13 shots overall, and Marquette has now won five consecutive games.

Notable game scheduled for Tuesday: Tennessee is No. 1 in the nation, but that ranking is at risk. The Vols are playing No. 18 Vanderbilt at Memorial Gym, where the Commodores have won 17 straight home games and three of the last four against UT. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. ET.

What You Need To Know

I thank you for your support.  As Gary would attest to, I have a tendency to jump on his and Vernon's radio show and give him some pointers about his skills.  I still have yet to listen to his morning show blog will be coming soon.

AS for my first two predictions...pretty much right on...Indiana won (closer than I expected) and Vandy did pull it off.

'I have now changed my prediction on the Memphis score however...given the fact that they will be out to prove a point..104 - 67 ...they give a little back on  D...but turn it offensively..take the over and give the points

What You Need To Know

You should have your own blog.  It would be much better than this guys.  I bet I know someone who would proof read it for you too!  JP is availible.

You could not be more right about Tennessee only having the #1 ranking for a short period.  Go Vandy!***

The only prediction I am going to have to disagree on you with is the Memphis vs Tulsa score.

I see it being more like

Tulsa 63

Memphis 89

Still a solid win, but we all know that we (Memphis) cannot shoot free throw.  But , accorrding to our coach "we make them when they count".  Let's hope the TN game was no sign of what he ment when he said we make them when we need to.

*** - this is the only time I will every every pull for Vandy
