Kentucky couldn't handle Tennessee.

Arizona couldn't handle Kevin Love.

Here's Monday morning's edition of What You Need To Know.

Notable game from Sunday: Tennessee moved closer to its first outright SEC title in 41 years by edging Kentucky at Thompson-Boling Arena. The Vols squandered a big early lead but held on to win 63-60. It was their 31st consecutive home victory, one that came thanks to a 15-point effort from Tyler Smith.

Notable performance from Sunday:  Kevin Love finished with 24 points and 15 rebounds while leading UCLA to a 68-66 victory at Arizona. The 6-foot-10 freshman made 7-of-12 field goal attempts and 10-of-11 free throws to record his 18th double-double of the season. He's now averaging 17.3 points and 11.1 rebounds per contest.

Notable game scheduled for Monday: Gonzaga will try to win its sixth consecutive outright West Coast Conference title when it hosts Santa Clara in a contest set to tip at 11:30 p.m. ET. The Zags are 23-6 overall, 12-1 in the WCC. They've won 14 of their past 16 games, including Saturday's showdown with Saint Mary's. Santa Clara is 14-14 overall, 6-7 in the WCC. And though the Broncos are a heavy underdog, it's worth noting they are the last team to beat Gonzaga at the McCarthey Athletic Center. That happened last season when Santa Clara handed the Zags their first home loss in 51 outings. Gonzaga is 51-3 all-time in the McCarthey Athletic Center.

What You Need To Know

Or EXACTLY three free throws, or EXACTLY one free throw and one basket (they are worth 2 points, not 3).

What You Need To Know

Vols did win fair and square no arguments here.

i was just excited as to the way Kentucky fought and "clawed" their way back in to the game. Without Crawford for most of the game with foul trouble.

The game was one of the best of the year (my opinion) for the final 10:00 minutes. Kind of like the cardiac cats of the early 2000's. I also believe that if the cats make the field of 65 they will not go quietly.

who knows win the next two and then make a run in the sec tournament we may be in!

congrats to the vols they were the team to beat in the sec this season. Also good luck to the Vols in the ncaa tournament. I love watching our Sec win championships!

I think UK will be fine - the may win the tournament outright and screw everyone - UK is not here for "charity", back into the tournament - we want to earn the victories and opportunities - other people back in.  We are Kentucky basketball.

What You Need To Know

I gotta give it to Kentucky, they played a great game, but Tennessee still won fair and square. Parrish's statement made it sound like it was a blowout, but maybe he should change it to,"Tennessee was slightly to good for Kentucky." Go Vols!!!

What You Need To Know

You obviously didn't watch the UK-UT game if you think UK couldn't handle UT.  3 point game.  That's exactly ONE basket.
