Something to make you puke

Sports fans can be demented, mean, angry, nasty, violent and just plain crass.
And George Lampman is cashing in on it.

Lampman is taking advantage of the season-ending knee injury suffered by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to make a buck.

Lampman, who has a silk-screen printing company in Pittsburgh, has unveiled t-shirts that laud Kansas City Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard, the man who knocked Brady out for the season, as some kind of hero.

For $19.99, you can buy a Bernard Pollard fan club shirt, complete with a No. 12 (Brady's number) circled and crossed out. The shirt says the fan club was established Sept. 7, 2008, which is the day Brady went down.

To me, this is a sign of how demented some fans have become.
Lampman doesn't argue the point.

"I can totally see where you're coming from," said Lampman, who is a diehard Steelers fan.

Isn't it crass, I asked?

"I can't disagree," he said.

So why do it? There's sadly a market out there. I spoke to Lampman Wednesday night for five minutes.

"I've sold six while we were talking," he said.

So who's ordering? The New York Jets fans are buying them with on addendum.

"They want them sent overnight so they can have them for Sunday," Lampman said.

Don't people who buy these shirts realize that this is a man's livelihood we're talking about? When I mentioned that to Lampman, he callously replied, "he's not losing any money this year and I'm sure it's no career-ending."

Pollard can't be happy about this.  He was sick about putting Brady out.

It's one thing not to like a player if you're a fan. It's another to make light of a serious situation.

Lampman said he might make up to $20,000 on the shirts. He's had 500 orders or so already.
I almost didn't write this because it only feeds the monster. But the whole issue is so sickening that I thought it needed to be pointed out just how low some of our fans have gone.

Last I checked NE hasnt won a SB in a while. Steelers won one since then. Have fun watching your Browns get embarrased AGAIN on national TV by the Steelers. And dont talk about Pittsburgh Fans, you guys are absolutely ridiculous. Fair weather fans that thought you had a team so now everyone in Cleveland is a fan, at least for the first week. While driving through OHIO on my way to the SB in Detroit there were multiple signs on overpasses hanging down that said F*ck Pittsburgh..... Real Class. So dont talk about what you dont understand....Winnning Football

So Quit crying! He isnt dead, he hurt his knee. WAAAAAH!! Oh no, people are making fun of Tom Brady, How about maybe it is Karma getting revenge for all the cheating over the past 6 years....All you whiners can get a life. Its a funny shirt.

I guess if we have to beat the best then we have to beat the Giants.  The team is only as good as its last player.   Injuries happen, get over it.

"He/she/they cheated"  the battle cry of the American loser for the current era.  Make no mistake here "keeper" you are a loser.  Don't take my word for it, go down to the corner your mother is working today and ask her, she'll tell you the same thing, loser.  By the way, anybody that would wear a shirt like this is also a loser.  If you can't beat the best what have you really accomplished?

Lest one forget..........."AS YOU SOW...SO SHALL YOU REAP!"

"Tis a sad day in sports when the degenerates come out of the woodwork to capitalize on another person's injury or misfortune.

One only has to peruse through a few of these blogs to witness the "tip of the iceberg" of hate across America.

Karma is the reason the Pats lost the Superbowl and Brady for the entire season.  That's what happens when you cheat and run up scores making a joke of the NFL. BrownsTownClown ... you're right about one thing ... "Karma is a powerful thing"!!

This is just a GAME for god's sake that is FUN & ENTERTAINING to watch.  It's a game that a very small percentage of men ever get the priviledge to play.  Those that play know that a career ending injury is always possible ... every snap.  NFL superstars make an obnoxious amount of money!!!  We're feeling sorry for Mr. Brady because Lampman stands to make as much as Brady makes on just a few snaps of the ball.  Give me a break!!!!  Even if he never plays again ... he'll be just fine.  I have to agree with many ... that Lampman's t-shirt idea, is just like the NFL ... fun & entertaining.  Good on ya!!!

You guys are always saying how great Pittsburgh fans are, and the truth is that New England has taken over as the dominant team in the AFC for the most part, since Brady has been in office.  So it does not surprise me that knocking off Brady for the season did not spark one of their idiots to come up with something like that.  It is one thing when Chad Johnson wants to act funny after a touchdown, or even change his name, and TO doing an Olympic start demonstration after ait is not the same as wishing someone ill fate.  I sure hope Pittsburgh has to play New England this year, that will be interesting.  And look for them to put a hurting on the Jets.  Lampman, that just is not cool, to make money on the injury of a player.  It will come back at you in a bad way, Karma is a powerful thing.

u are so wrong on this.. im a cowboys fan.. and yall made sure to score a td at the last min just so the game did not even look close..  and what the heck did the patriots get out of last years redskins game.. in college i understand.. u have to beat everyone as bad as u can so the voters will see lots of really high scores and keep voting for #1.. but in pros.. 1 point or 50 is all the same. and the pats are the only team i have seen to run the score up at every possible chnace.. do u really think they were the only team that could have done that.. no.. just the others teams that could have done it ... had more class.. ..  i for one would never wear that shirt.... cause im not a KC fan.. but i would wear one if it had a prediction of 12 loses or something with brady on the ground.. i would buy 7.. one for ever day of the week.. screw the pats..
