Something to make you puke

Sports fans can be demented, mean, angry, nasty, violent and just plain crass.
And George Lampman is cashing in on it.

Lampman is taking advantage of the season-ending knee injury suffered by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to make a buck.

Lampman, who has a silk-screen printing company in Pittsburgh, has unveiled t-shirts that laud Kansas City Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard, the man who knocked Brady out for the season, as some kind of hero.

For $19.99, you can buy a Bernard Pollard fan club shirt, complete with a No. 12 (Brady's number) circled and crossed out. The shirt says the fan club was established Sept. 7, 2008, which is the day Brady went down.

Sick.

To me, this is a sign of how demented some fans have become.
Lampman doesn't argue the point.

"I can totally see where you're coming from," said Lampman, who is a diehard Steelers fan.

Isn't it crass, I asked?

"I can't disagree," he said.

So why do it? There's sadly a market out there. I spoke to Lampman Wednesday night for five minutes.

"I've sold six while we were talking," he said.

So who's ordering? The New York Jets fans are buying them with on addendum.

"They want them sent overnight so they can have them for Sunday," Lampman said.

Disgusting.

Don't people who buy these shirts realize that this is a man's livelihood we're talking about? When I mentioned that to Lampman, he callously replied, "he's not losing any money this year and I'm sure it's no career-ending."

Pollard can't be happy about this.  He was sick about putting Brady out.

It's one thing not to like a player if you're a fan. It's another to make light of a serious situation.

Lampman said he might make up to $20,000 on the shirts. He's had 500 orders or so already.
I almost didn't write this because it only feeds the monster. But the whole issue is so sickening that I thought it needed to be pointed out just how low some of our fans have gone.

Something to make you puke

Give me a break the pats fans and BRADY deserve it and a full-strength Patriots team has been handled remember the super bowl the G-MEN beat them twice. The pats should have had 3 more loses the refs saved them from BALTIMORE and the EAGLES the COLTS gave them the game they played so wipe the tears away. BRADY is out deal with it he and that team are scum I would look good out there as qb if my coach knew all the defensive signals. Order me 3 dozen best thing to happen to football this year thank you CHIEFS.

So right you are. As much as I hate Bellicheat and his classless demeanor, I like Ton Brady. He's a class guy, and anyone who cheers an injury like that should be shot in the teeth. Bernard Pollard, the guy who did it, is completely distraught about it. But, if nothing else, it shows that you can never underestimate the lowest rung on society’s ladder. When was the last time you ever heard anyone mention the class of Philly fans or New York fans for that matter? I suspect never.

There’s a reason why the NFL is developing a policy for fan behavior. It’s unfortunate that this is the sad state that some fan bases are in.

This is the same Pittsburgh right that harassed and threatened a sixtyish woman because she hit Ben Roethlisberger on his motorcycle a few seasons ago because her license plates were from Maine?  I don't remember anybody in New England printing up t-shirts celebrating what she did.  I'm sure some people would have bought them though because the New England area has it's share of jerks like Pittsburgh, New York or who knows where.  I think it's pathetic that some fans just can't understand that it is only a game.

Absolute. While this is bad -- it's not as bad as when Irvin was motionless on the concrete turf in Philadelphia with thousands cheering. Or, when the Eagles fans were throwing snowballs with batteries inside, which could kill someone.

While injuries are never something to be cheered about, you don't hear the cries of sympathy because injuries are part of the game -- and it was Brady and the Pats that were running up the score, going for it on 4th down up by 30, and basically not giving a damn themselves about the unwritten rules of the game.

Belidick and the Bozo

Why would anyone be jealous of cheaters like Belidick and Brady? If Mike Martz wasn't such a goof, and had given the ball to Marshall Faulk, the Patsies would never have won their first Super Bowl. It was a gift.
The Giants did NFL fans a favor by knocking off the cheaters last year, and now most of America is thrilled that we don't have to see boring Belidick acting like a jerk to the media anymore. BYE-BYE BRADY.

I think it's outstanding that Brady went down. Where can I get one of those shirts??
It's great that Brady, Belijerk and the entire cast of cheaters finally got what was coming to them: a bad break.

I can't believe people were actually questioning whether it was a clean hit. Rodney "dirtiest player in the NFL" Harrison took out the Rams' Trent Green in a preseason game in 1999, and should have been punished, but no one said a thing.

2 all the Patriot haters

For all of you that are happy for Tom Brady's injury you are clearly not a fan of the NFL. And also for all of you that just hate Tom Brady in general, do you even know why? He's among the classiest guys in the league, a guy who never talks trash, and what you hate him because he's a "pretty boy".. haha.. A pretty boy huh? Is that just because he's won 3 Super Bowls? Bradys a guy who restructures his contract frequently to make room for other players to join the roster.. Name one other player who does that? Yah Tom Brady dates super models, why wouldn't he? He's the best quarterback in the NFL and has won 3 Super Bowls, who wouldn't date him? It's funny how everybody loved him for winning in 2001, now you all are mad at him for the same reason..

Enough with the Karma this, karma that.

Is it karma because a team happens to out talent the rest of the NFL with ease? So the best team therefore has to pay a price for being too good. Get ahold of yourselves. OOO thats right it's karma because they cheat... I'll admit the Patriots did cheat... for exactly 30 minutes of Week1 and they didn't even look at the footage. So you can pull the cheat stuff all you want, but just remember, that wasn't on Tom Brady. And enough with the running up the score B.S. Once again, is it  the Patriots fault the league was too weak and couldn't compete with them through 4 quarters of a football game. Should they have taken the starters out  at half time? Cuz thats what it would have taken. And let me guess.. the reason they scored all of the points is because they cheat.. Right? Haha, hold on to that lame excuse for as long as you can.

It's funny that nobody thinks the Patriots will make the playoffs... 8-8? hahaha absolute stupidity. But take advantage Patriots haters, it's your turn to talk all the smack you want, congrats we're missing the league MVP for a year. But just remember, he'll be back and when he is you'll be back in your shells thinking about how depressing your Sunday will be when the Patriots come to town. And even sweeter then that, how will you feel when the Patriots are still playing in January despite missing Tom Brady... I can't wait to see the posts after that.

P.S.- Quit hating, it's obvious your jealous of New England/ Tom Brady's success.. Who wouldn't be?
