Drayton Florence?

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed corner Drayton Florence last year thinking he could compete for a starting job or be a quality nickel corner.

He was neither.

The Buffalo Bills signed him Wednesday to a two-year, $7 million deal to help offset the anticpated loss of Jabari Greer. Florence was horrible in Jacksonville last year, leading to his benching. He also wasn't a very good guy to have in the locker room. Coaches didn't like him, nor did the staff.

It's amazing how one team can take a discard and pay him the money they do. When will they learn? When?

Drayton Florence?

The up-to-date on Drayton Florence lists among his career highlights: a.) a costly personal foul leading directly to a Charger playoff loss b.) a late hit.

One way to twist this is that with a little discipline, he'll be an aggressive and needed addition.

The other, of course, is that the Bills aren't looking to win playoff games the next two years.

Unless the Bills won this weeks powerball lotto, that's $7 mil a struggling franchise can't get back.
