Barring an unforseen snag in contract negotiations, the Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to announce the signing of veteran Torry Holt to a two-year contract Monday.
Holt, who played 10 seasons with the St. Louis Rams, would immediately become the team's No. 1 receiver. The Jaguars have a huge void at the postion, which is why they are willing to look past Holt's knee troubles and the fact some in St. Louis think he's slowed down.
Holt caught 64 passes last season, but his 12.4 per-catch average was the lowest of his career. The Jaguars could also draft a receiver early in Saturday's draft.
