AP and LT?

Adrian Peterson and LaDainian Tomlinson in the same backfield?

It could happen.

Tomlinson will meet with the Minnesota Vikings this week, possibly joining the team as a backup.

Two years ago, that would have seem crazy. But Tomlinson is little more than a backup now, after being a star runner for years. That's what happens to backs. It goes.

So don't get overly excited about this pairing. Tomlinson is just another guy now -- not LT anymore.

But for six to 10 carries, Tomlinson would be fine.

AP and LT?

The only issue is that LT is not known for his blocking.  Taylor's value went far beyond rushing and catching as he was good at picking up the blitz, allowing Favre to stay on his feet and complete the pass.

AP and LT?

You'd have thought that with AD and Chester Taylor, we'd at least see some 2 back sets over 3 years.  But no.  So I wouldn't actually bet money on it.

AP and LT?

first off

Tomlinson is a fake a$$ LT

There is only ONE LT   Lawrence Taylor.  and I dont even like the Giants

Second: isnt there a rule you can only have one guy on your team that goes by letters instead of a name.....

First off, you are wrong, and a child.

LT is not a knickname, they are legal initials.

Second, Lawrence Taylor is the most overhyped player in history. Bill Parcells does the same thing with LBs. Taylor was the first Parcell used that way, but he is, and never was a special player like LaDainian Tomlinson, the real L.T.

AP and LT?

he's the second best "LT" this league has had!

He's the best RB, and definately the best L.T. sports has ever seen.

AP and LT?

You hit that one right on the head "qutjs1"  nice to see that whenever a big name is out there and he is a need for the Vikings, Wilf will put them in the running to get him.  Now if we could only do something about that lying Twins ownership who claimed they needed the new stadium in order to afford some big name talent.  Crip that Carl clan blows.  The have One of the best players in the league in Mauer and they are pussy footing around giving him the money he deserves.  I would not blame him at all for going to New York.  They guy deserves a championship and the Carl Clan of tightwad idiots are doing nothing as far as I'm concerned.

AP and LT?

KC snatched up T. Jones right quick. seems like a no brainer to me to snag a FA like that.  still good football in 'em, just not the feature back work horse they used to be.  no fault of their own, RB is obviously the most physically punishing position. i'd want LT on my team anyday.

AP and LT?

If they could co-exist, that would be amazing for the Vikings.

I don't care, the man is friggin' LT. He might not have the burst but he still has it in his head and that counts for a lot. He has great hands, and he is also a great blocker.

It would be just like Double Trouble for my Carolina Panthers. Run run run, fast as you can!

AP and LT?

But Taylor is NOT an option for the Vikes anymore, he signed with Chicago.

Taylor fumbled against the Steelers near the goalline last year, and it costed the Vikes the game.  Maybe he is NOT so clutch ?  In fact, fumbling WAS something that concerned me with Taylor before the Vikes got AP.  He wasn't like Robert Smith who almost never fumbled.

Not fumbling is also another good thing about LT.  He has fumbled just 7 times in over 2500 carries.

I think you are also mistaken about LT costing a lot of money.  I think he will realize his value isn't what is used to be, the interest not being that high.

I think at this point in his career, LT just wants to win a SB, and to be with a top organization that is making the moves to do just that.  I think he'll sign for less to play in Minnesota, playing for a contender.

AP and LT?

Bashing the Charger managment is not going to turn LT into his old self - LT did not play out his contract.  He was due a $3,000,000 roster bonus and the Chargers opted not to pay it.  LT wants to be in San Diego.  He is cemented into the community and would be happy to take a hometown discount.  The Chargers and their fans would be happy to take LT at half the performer he's been, which he was in the 2008 season.  We had all this hype after 2008 that 2009 was LT's return to glory.  he was healthy, he was looking forward to the season, the results were not good.  LT has lost more then a step.   LT can help the Vikings, he might even score 6-10 TDs with the Vikings and with Farve at QB he will get his fair share of passes and runs.  But if you're looking for an under the radar Fantasy pick this is not the guy you want.
