Pats will wash stink away

The car wash is open.

That's what I say whenever the New England Patriots acquire a talent that has all kinds of issues.

There has to be a car wash outside the Patriots facility because the stink is always washed away.

Corey Dillon? Stink washed away. Randy Moss? Stink washed away -- for the most part. On and on it goes.

Now it's time to do  the same with Albert Haynesworth. The Patriots have agreed to trade Haynesworth for a fifth-round pick from the Washington Redskins, a league source confirmed.  When motivated, Haynesworth is one of the best interior players in the NFL.  When he's not, he's a lazy malcontent, which he was in Washington last year.

But look for Patriots coach Bill Belichcik to work his magic again with Haynesworth.

He jsut might be a force again, which he was at times for the Titans.

"It won't hurt," said one coach when asked if he thought Belichcik would help. "I think he will be fired up for at least one year."

The car wash is open. Want to bet the stink gets washed away?

Pats will wash stink away

Gotta love how Pats fans flip flop over feelings of players. Just yesterday, Pats fans would be the first to tell you that Haynesworth and Ochicinco stink and are garbage, now all of a sudden, they are great players!!! If the Pats were to say they wanted to retrade Haynesworth or Ochocinco tomorrow, they would want 1st round picks then after the trade happens, they would go back to say that player stinks, just look at Seymour, Samuel and Branch. Pats fans would have nothing but praise for them and the moment they are traded, oh, they are overrated. Now that Branch is back, oh Branch is awesome. No wonder fans from other teams hate the Pats.

You may hate Pat fans but we love fans like you.  Nothing better then a bitter Bolts fan who still can't get past the constant beating this team lays on you in huge spots.  Oh yes how we love fans like you.

Haha yuo guys sound like fans of the win nothing ever Jets or the Steelroids.

Leave the football dicusssion to fans of teams that at least have a chance. Hint neither of those posers do.
Who won that last Jets-Patriots playoff game in your house? Too funny. You had your shot and choked against the worst SB champion ever, the 2007 Giants.

The Jets are the team to beat in the AFC East. They proved that last October. They whipped you on your field and made Brady look pedestrian. Now you get Ochochoko and that fat washed up loser and you're going to win? Please.

Btw, the Jets have a SB win and it was historic.

This is not a good acquisition, this is great. You are going from a terriblly coached team that had no chance to win to a world champion contender with a gear coach that will tell him no BS period. Can you imagine him and wolfork in the middle. OMG how do you run the ball against the Pats Another great move by a great organization.........

Pats will wash stink away

Ever heard the word "concise?"

A re-write of War and Peace is probably not necessary on a message board.

Patriots traded 31 year-old Richard Seymour for a 1st round pick then two years later, trade a 5th for Albert Haynesworth. Yeah...they don't know what they're doing.

Seymour has 9 sacks in 34 starts in Oakland. Raider apologists need to stop insisting what an "impact player" he is. We watch him play; he's above average at best. The guy's one of the more over-hyped players in the league; living on his 2001-2006 reputation. He essentially didn't even contribute when N.E, won it's last Super Bowl, missing the final 4 weeks, then both AFC playoff games, and contributing ONE tackle in the Super Bowl. Overrated. Then again, what would you expect the Raiders management to say: we got taken by the Patriots. We gave up a 1st for a player that did NOT put us over the top....cuz we're not even remotely close to winning a ring.

This trade is gonna pay big dividends. Hope your back here in early February, though I'll take the "under" on that happening.

Agree to disagree.  Dillon was a huge piece in a Super Bowl championship victory run.  Moss was a huge piece in a Super Bowl loss in 2007, and when he became a distraction Belichick showed hime the door.  Haynesworth either falls in line with the Patriot way, or he gets shown the door similar to Moss last year.  It's a win-win for Patriot fans, very little was invested in this guy.

Are you talking about the team that was named "the team of the decade" last year, ahead of your steelers (who choked away the super bowl similar to the Pats in 2007, to be fair)?  Pats are the best organization in sports, deal with it.
