The car wash is open.

That's what I say whenever the New England Patriots acquire a talent that has all kinds of issues.

There has to be a car wash outside the Patriots facility because the stink is always washed away.

Corey Dillon? Stink washed away. Randy Moss? Stink washed away -- for the most part. On and on it goes.

Now it's time to do  the same with Albert Haynesworth. The Patriots have agreed to trade Haynesworth for a fifth-round pick from the Washington Redskins, a league source confirmed.  When motivated, Haynesworth is one of the best interior players in the NFL.  When he's not, he's a lazy malcontent, which he was in Washington last year.

But look for Patriots coach Bill Belichcik to work his magic again with Haynesworth.

He jsut might be a force again, which he was at times for the Titans.

"It won't hurt," said one coach when asked if he thought Belichcik would help. "I think he will be fired up for at least one year."

The car wash is open. Want to bet the stink gets washed away?

Pats will wash stink away

Yeah, urgirl, you're nuts, or this is just some Jets fan automatically naysaying anything the Patriots do.

I hope you meant to say something like, Moss was a great call for the Pats for awhile, but last year it turned bad, and they wisely cut bait.

Which does make me wonder: how long do these guys keep their new-car smell, on average?

Randy Moss was a terrible mistake?  He was the most prolific receiver in football for about 3 years and had a record setting season in '07.  They gave up a 3rd round pick for him.  When they traded him they got a 3rd rounder back.  Moss did not have a bad influence on the locker room at all.  They went 14-2 last year.  The lack of playoff wins has little to do with Randy Moss, or philosophy.  Every year there is 1 winner and 31 losers.  They are just taking another very low risk high reward gamble.  If he sucks, they will cut him at the end of camp.  If he is good,  they will keep him for the price of a 5th round pick.

The Jets sign a star (not superstar) WR and Prisco rips the Jets for making a move on one the WRs they were about to lose.  Now the Patriots make a move for a cancer of a player in Haynesworth and it seems like Prisco is applauding them.  I never liked Prisco because I think he is beyond biased about hit favorite team the New England Patriots.  When the Pats sign Tiki Barber, Prisco may actually piss himself.

Randy Moss  turned out to be terrible mistakes by the Pats.  After admitting their mistake with Moss they traded him away in mid season out of desperation.  The move to sign Haynesworth is just a continuation of bad moves. The pats are turning in to the redskins of the AFC they bring in so many players that have a bad influence in the locker room.  No wonder the Pats haven't won one single playpff game since 2007, the team went away from what they were  between 2001-2006...the Pats are on their way down hill and Brady is only getting older.
