Brady makes Cowboys pay

FOXBORO -- They gave him a chance.

You never give Tom Brady another chance.

For nearly four quarters, the Dallas Cowboys seemed to have Brady befuddled. Their exotic defensive looks had him looking jumpy in the pocket and forced him into two interceptions.

It was their game.

But they gave him a chance, and Brady loves getting the chance.

Trailing by three, he started at his own 20 with 2:34 left and moved the Patriots to the game-winning score with an 8-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Hernandez with 22 seconds left for a 20-16 victory.

Moral of the story: You don't give Brady chances.

The Cowboys did. They got the ball back at their own 20 with 3:36 and ran it three times.

Brady made them pay for being so conservative -- just like so many others before them

Brady makes Cowboys pay

It is exactly what makes Brady...Brady.   Bill gave him a chance in 2001, result - SuperBowl.  Bill gave him Randy Moss - Result TD passing record and 16-0 season.  For once Prico is right on.  Give Brady a chance and chances are, he will make the most of it!

Brady makes Cowboys pay

I think there will be no disagreements this week.  However, same result, the Cowboys blow game in the fourth quarter.  I am befuddled, yes, befuddled, how this team continues to lose games like this.  They lose by three to the Jets, by four to the Lions, and now by four to the Patriots.  All the same way, the offense loses the game and this one is on the coach.  Basically, I wonder if the coach said I am not letting my QB take the heat again and blowing this one, let someone else take the heat.  Well, he was right, and it is on Coach Garret.  Way to go, your prediction came true.

Brady makes Cowboys pay

Well said. Instead of going for the jugular and keeping possession of the ball, the Cowboys played scared and tried to take a little time off the clock, which almost never will work against Brady. With Brady, there's little difference whether you give him 2 minutes or 3 minutes;it's basically the same thing. Milking the clock with 3:30 left and only up 3-points is a recipe for failure. Still baffles me that teams don't try and take games from the Patriots, and instead are content to have a small lead( 3-7 points) in the 4th quarter and just sort of hope things break their way. Can't blame the Dallas defense for this one, or even Romo for once. This one falls squarely on the shoulders of Jason Garrett.
