Milwaukee Brewers welcome to the Big LeaguesI'm waiting for Bud Selig to come on in and take some credit for the current state of the Brewers. Good Riddance.
I really like having an owner who actually cares about WINNING, and not just existing (as the Brewers were all the years of my childhood). Hats off to Mark and Doug for a job well done. CC should bring us into the playoffs, and with a healthy Sheets alongside him WHEN the Brew Crew makes the Playoffs they will be a force to reckon with. I'm really excited about this season and if Prince can get it together for the second half...one can only imagine. CANT WAIT TO SEE OCTOBER BASEBALL IN MILWAUKEE!!!! GO BREWERS!!! |

Milwaukee Brewers welcome to the Big LeaguesI think as of now they are NL Central favorites. However, this could be temporary as the Cubs might answer with a deal of their own. We will have to wait on that. The Cards might make their own blockbuster move as well and we have to see what if anything either team does. What this does do however is make the top part of the rotation a murderers row. If you are entering a best of 7 series against the Brewers, and 4 games you either face Sheets or Sabathia, you probably don't like your chances. Both of those are certified top 10 pitchers in the Majors. I live in the Chicago area and locally there are 2 schools of thought. 1) is that the Cubs have to answer the Brewers and 2) is that the Cubs can stand pat because the prevailing wisdom is that the Cardinals will fade and the WC will come out of the Central still allowing them to make the playoffs should the Brewers win. Personally I think the Cubs will and should make a move based upon the fact that this will be the 100th consecutive year without a World Series Champion on the North Side should that not happen for them. |

Milwaukee Brewers welcome to the Big LeaguesNow that Sabathia is added to the rotation are the Brewers Central Favorites? They've been heating up lately without Sabathia, but with him they're even more dangerous. If they are to go all the way this is the year for sure, besides after this season Sheets and Sabathia are both free agents, there's no hope to resign them both. Your right, they are definately to be reckoned with.
