Scott makes it official: J-E-T-S, Jets!Jets!Jets!

So Bart Scott goes to the Jets. No surprise there. Guess the Ravens figured the deal was too rich to match. When I saw former Baltimore defensive coordinator and now Jets' coach Rex Ryan in Indianapolis I told him  I figured I'd see Scott on his club within a week. He smiled but never let on. Scott is perfect for the Jets, who lose leading-tackler Eric Barton to free agency and are trying to replicate Baltimore's toughness on defense. It won't be difficult with Scott, who played for years under Ryan and who can rush the passer or stuff the middle. I know his sacks dropped off the past two years, but I wouldn't worry much about that. All he did was finish second only to Ray Lewis in tackles. With David Harris at his side he should have similar success in New York. Signing Scott is the first move toward making the Jets more like Baltimore North, and that's not bad.

Bart Scott was just a product of his system, and won't make a significant impact. Alot of people will say since Rex Ryan is the coordinator that he will make it the Jets system and he may, but it will not work out as well as it has for the Ravens. The names Michael Boulware, Jamie Sharper, and Edgerrin Hartwell will tell you the story of being on the Ravens and reaching that high plateau and going elsewhere to have your career die. The same will go for Ray Lewis when he signs elsewhere. He will still be a hall of famer, but will not be able to duplicate his success with the Ravens.

I agree with getting a corner in the draft, WR how about Lance Moore, or Henderson, or maybe Housh, Leftwich I agree but I rather start Brett Ratliff, I dont see us getting Peppers at all I would love to have him and I think we would have the best defense, get leonhard but I rather have Elam.

DolphinfaninKS your dumb as hell no one said were winning a championship we still have much more to do in FA and in the draft. By the way good luck finishing as one of the worst teams this year and I do mean it. Shut up because your mad that you cant sign anybody to help the cinderella fins out.

GREAT SCOTT, we got a qb!

We just got our QB, just the one for our defense, next up is Leonard.

We also got re-visit plans for the O-Line, because the pittsburgh guy just re-sgined with the steelers.

Please but Jeff Garcia on the back burner.

Good signing, boys!

If Vernon Gholston can materialize into a decent option opposite Pace, we now have a great linebacking core with Harris and Scott inside.

Next, we need a #2 CB option opposite Revis.

A #1 receiver.

And a defensive end.

I'm willing to neglect QB for a year, and see what we have. The free agent crop isn't that great, and Cassell isn't worth all the pics + money. If we can't get Bradford or Sanchez, I'd rather see what we have on our roster rather than reaching for a Josh Johnson or buying a mediocre Kerry Collins.

Yes, but we did loose Brandon Moore, i always thought highly of him so who plays RG? Woody? but then we still need a RT and i don't like our options there Wayne Hunter? what has he done in the NFL? Robert Turner? whose even heard of him? i hope we resign Moore. or we could bring in Jason Brown another Raven that would look good in the gang green, i thing Clemons has potetial especially with his athletism but who knows? we could prolly pick up Max Ungar in the second or trade down in the first and pick up that guy from oklahoma, i still think we need a veteran qb
