Scott makes it official: J-E-T-S, Jets!Jets!Jets!

So Bart Scott goes to the Jets. No surprise there. Guess the Ravens figured the deal was too rich to match. When I saw former Baltimore defensive coordinator and now Jets' coach Rex Ryan in Indianapolis I told him  I figured I'd see Scott on his club within a week. He smiled but never let on. Scott is perfect for the Jets, who lose leading-tackler Eric Barton to free agency and are trying to replicate Baltimore's toughness on defense. It won't be difficult with Scott, who played for years under Ryan and who can rush the passer or stuff the middle. I know his sacks dropped off the past two years, but I wouldn't worry much about that. All he did was finish second only to Ray Lewis in tackles. With David Harris at his side he should have similar success in New York. Signing Scott is the first move toward making the Jets more like Baltimore North, and that's not bad.

Hey, I couldn't agree more with you JD_John. Defense wins championships, unfortunately the Steelers proved it this year and the Giants proved it last year dominating the high powered Patriots offense. Not to mention, back in history a bit, the Tampa Bay Bucs did it 6 years ago, not to mention the Ravens did it in 2000. So defense definately wins championships.  Don't forget about Leon Washington, he is a playmaker and will be utilized. Thomas Jones had a ridiculously good year and proved he can still play. Cotchery has great hands and Keller had a terrific rookie season last year and will continue to make plays. None of the QB's on the roster have been given a chance with a good O-line like we have now. So I would like to see what they can do.

First off your a Miami fan and you think your a good team because you had one season and I call it a cinderella story. Two know what you are talking about dipshit because we didnt need a number one reciever or a good QB because our rushing game was in the top 5 in the league. Also, our offensive line is one of the best two. Yea, I am happy to have Favre and he did help us but again our rushing game got us where we needed to be. We will not choke and have fun getting swept by us this year buddy your fins are not going to do so well and have fun finishing behind Buffalo. I guarantee it. Also, if it wasnt for Pennington you would be you would have gone 4-12 or 6-10 so shut up and quit talking.

Who's the Dolphins No.1 receiver? Ted Ginn Jr.? Ha a joke. And do you honestly think Pennington will replicate last year in 2009? Face it, the Dolphins needed to use gimicks to generate offense. Choke they did, but it's ok knowing Miami was brought back down to earth against a great DEFENSE in the playoffs. And wait, didn't the Steelers have a GREAT DEFENSE and just beat a high powered offense in the Super Bowl? You must not watch any games...

I don't care if its scott or lewis rex ryan has a great defense game, but the jets you guys won't have an offensive game when it comes to game time situations. think about it no QB no #1 WR so all is well on D-fence but who can you count on under center you had b farve and didn't make the play offs c'mon you'll choke another season

Yup. Be prepared to see him a lot. He'll be on the field most of the game.
