Jets need to take next step

I'm not sure why the Jets are announcing an indefinite suspension of Sal Alosi. He was already under suspension. So how about taking the next step and announcing his dismissal? That not only seems to be the next course of action. It seems to be the necessary course of action.

And here's why: When the Jets admit that it was Alosi who instructed players along the New York sideline to form a wall to restrict space for Miami's Nolan Carroll, it suggests it was a premeditated move. It also contradicts what Alosi told us Monday, which was that "it was just a situation where I wasn't thinking. Nothing was in my head. I wasn't thinking. Had I been thinking I would've taken a step back instead of a step forward."

Yeah, sure. That's all well and good, except the Jets all but called Alosi a liar. They basically said he was thinking, and what he was thinking about was impeding Carroll's movement.

That does it for me. I don't need to hear more. If I'm the Jets I drop the hammer, and I drop it now. Alosi had a chance to explain himself, and he tried. Turns out he didn't give a complete story. Now that we have the details and his involvement is clear, it's the Jets' turn to be heard -- and they shouldn't waste another minute.

They should fire him.

Look, it was bad enough that he tripped an opposing player. What's worse is that it appears that he planned it. What's unforgivable is that it appears he lied about it, too. If he didn't, he needs to come forward and explain himself now. On second thought, why should we believe anything he'd have to say? We shouldn't. It's the Jets who make the next move, and they should do the right and necessary thing.

Nope, they should do the only thing and cut their losses immediately.

We need to fire him. It's inexcusable what he did. He's giving the jets a bad name.

Jets need to take next step

For those of you who has never played organized football, here's a little education... Forming walls is a common thing in football, both teams do it for various reasons, but the most dramatic effect it has is that it makes the field look a lot narrower than it really is.  Just look at college and high school games, you rarely see players sitting down but rather lined up close to the sidelines.

What Alosi did was funny but really stupid and extremely illegal that resulted in a player getting injured.  Alosi is a nobody on the team that contributes to almost nothing on offense or deffense...Strength coaches are a dime a dozen....Get rid of him and lets move on!

Oh, yeah, Clark.  The strength and conditioning coach ordered players into a line and they obeyed him.  He has that power.  Smoke another one.

The Jets have been caught cheating before and now it was seen by the public. All out in front for all to see. Anything this organization accomplished/accomplishes will have an asterisk next to it until they wipe the slate clean. Yep, the NY Asterisk's

100% Rex all over it. No ifs ands or buts about it. EVERY other team would fire this guy. What a sad sick filthy organization. There's mafia money involved here to, another reason they won't fire the loser. Another roided up guido livin vicariously thru the neanderthals he coaches.
