Cassel's day in sun will come

I'm not real pleased about the snub of Matt Cassel, either, but look at it this way, Kansas City fans: The guy will go to Hawaii even though he wasn't voted to the team

And how do I know? Because Tom Brady is one of the three AFC quarterbacks, and tell me the last time he played in a Pro Bowl. He almost always is chosen and almost always finds an excuse not to go. Guaranteed, he doesn't make it. And I bet Philip Rivers won't, either. Nevertheless, the sure money is on Brady bowing out, especially if the Patriots are in the Super Bowl.

Yes, Cassel deserves to go. Heck, the guy has Kansas City in the playoffs, is 10-4 as a starter and has 23 touchdowns and just two interceptions over his last 10 games. But whom was he going to displace? Brady? Rivers? Peyton Manning? One AFC quarterback was going to get shafted, and that quarterback was Cassel.

But that's the bad news. The good is that this will all work out in the end. Trust me. So don't get too bent out of shape about Cassel not being in Hawaii ... because he will be. Just wait.

Cassel's day in sun will come

Even if cassel doesnt make it this year. Hell get his day....Manning is getting into the age category. Cassel has really only 2 years of wear and tear on his body since high school so I see a bright future for this kid. And if he keeps playing the way he is I want to see him retire a chief

Cassel's day in sun will come

after the year peyton manning had, i did not think he would make the pro bowl. but, it goes to show you that names mean more than performance in regards to the pro bowl. matt cassel out played manning this year and deserved to be the #3 qb in the pro bowl. until people are rewarded for what they did this year and not the past, the pro bowl will always be a joke to a lot of people.

Matt has played very well for the Chiefs this year.  He probably deserves to go but making the playoffs and getting a home game eases any disapointment for not being voted into the game.  Like most good players he'd just as soon have playoff wins than a Pro bowl appearence.  Maybe, if someone doesn't go, he'll get both this year.

Cassel Was Not Outplayed

Cassel was not outplayed by the three ahead of him. Rivers and Brady I will buy, because those two were by far the best in the AFC this year. Cassel may not have the image or passing yardage that Manning has, but he has one third as many interceptions, a higher Quarterback rating, and has done a lot to turn a team that was 4-12 last year into a division champion. Once again, Manning gets the benefit of the doubt just like he did when he won his last two MVP awards (2008 should have been Michael Turner or Adrian Peterson, 2009 should have been Drew Brees or Brett Favre).

Alot of people might disagree but i think he deserved it over manning. Manning is by far the best qb in the league but had a rough year. 17 ints in my opinion should keep you out of the pro bowl. Not like it matters the pro bowl is the biggest joke of all major sports All Star Games.

Cassel's day in sun will come

Considering that the Colts and Patriots combined for 6 of the AFC's Super Bowl appearances, the odds that either Peyton Manning or Tom Brady will be obliged to miss the Pro Bowl seem pretty good. Cassel has earned his trip, and has the extreme poor fortune of having to fight against those titans of the QB position for a berth.
