Good move, St. Louis

So after flirting with Seattle, Josh McDaniels goes back to St. Louis and becomes the team's offensive coordinator. Good for St. Louis.

McDaniels wasn't much of a head coach, but he doesn't have to be the head coach here. He has to be Sam Bradford's tutor. And he should be a good one.

I think back to what McDaniels did in New England with Tom Brady and Matt Cassel and believe he's an asset to any young quarterback -- especially this one. In one season, Bradford became the best quarterback in the division. With the right mentor he can be more than that, and McDaniels is the right mentor.

I mean, look what he did for Kyle Orton in two seasons. The guy doesn't know jack about personnel or how to handle people or coach a football team, but he does know how to school quarterbacks.

Getting him was a coup for the Rams, and it's not all that bad for McDaniels, either. He wanted the chance to work with Steve Spaguolo, and he gets it. Plus, he wanted an opportunity to go to a club that can win, and the Rams can. Look for them to be a trendy pick to win the NFC West in next season's pre-season forecasts, with Bradford the key to make it all happen.

The team that got beat by Cheatriots video

In the Super Bowl goes and hires a videotaping cheater that learned his trade with the Patsies
If you cant beat em join em right>

Dumb move by the Rams....Mcdaniels is overrated

Of course in the NFC West anything is possible in terms of contending for the division so who knows....

Maybe Favre should have hired him as a personal video assistant

The only thing McDaniels is good at is grooming QBs.  He has no clue with regards to talent acquisition at any other position and his play calling is all about the passing game.  The Rams need to stay balanced, especially because they have one of the best RBs in the league and an inexperienced, though very talented, QB.  At best, he should be a QB coach and that's it.

How long before McDaniels wants to trade Bradford for Matt Cassel?

Good move, St. Louis

Great move for St. Louis!  Josh McDaniels has been bread to be an offensive coordinator as he is a stellar QB's coach.  Steve Spaguolo knew exactly what the team needed and this will only help Bradford so anyone who questions the decision has the right to do so but should realize how much this will help the offense.

Good move, St. Louis

I guess this hire confirmed what I thought of the Rams for sometime now: the Future class of the NFC West. A nd working as OC, McDaniels will be at his right place for once. Now comes the next part: getting wide receivers to propel Sam Bradford at the elite level...

ramsfan60, settle down dude. Take a deep breath, pull your panties out of a wad, put on your sarcasm detector and re-read his statement....

He's a Raiders' fan - of course he's going to love what McDaniels did to the Broncos. It's the same as us saying we know the Raiders will never do much as long as Al Davis owns the team. Denver and Oakland are rivals and when one team is struggling on the field, or has issues off it, fans of the other team revel in it.

I know a player on the team and I can truly tell you it was not picnic. He created discention from the time he arrived to the time he left . I don't dispute that he may be a good fit for the Rams however Josh Mc Daniels needs to grow up and do some deep soul searching before he puts on the "head coach" headphones again.
You know a player on the team but you can only provide one sentence of insight? I call bullshit. Just because he's on your Madden squad doesn't mean you know him.

Good move, St. Louis

I'm not convinced that this is a great move at all.  What does this mean for Steven Jackson and the ground game?  What type of blocking scheme will they employ?  Will Bradford's development be retarded by completely switching systems?  These are all the questions that need to be answered before this move can be called "good."
