Houston, you have a problem

The loss of Mario Williams is a devastating blow to Houston's playoff hopes. You don't lose a player of that caliber without repercussions, and Wade Phillips' 3-4 defense was built on Williams' ability to rush the passer.

Still, there's the question: Who's going to beat the Texans in the AFC South? The only competition is Tennessee, and the Titans got drilled Sunday by Pittsburgh. It's a two-team race, and Houston still is the choice ... though the gap just narrowed.

Rookie Brooks Reed replaces Williams, and while he played decently vs. the Raiders (he had four tackles and two hits on quarterback Jason Campbell) he's no Mario Williams. It's a setback for Houston, but I don't know that it's a setback from which the Texans can't recover.

Houston fans know more than you.

lumpoco, maybe you should watch more NFL instead of the WNBA. And Clark, please pass this on to your fellow writers, please stop using that tired ass phrase. The Texans are still in first and it is a long season. Mario's absence is a big blow, but by no means a deal breaker. That defense is full of playmakers and look for Brooks Reed to start making a name for himself.

Houston, you have a problem

I always get the two teams confused...the Houston Titans or Tennessee Texans...No matter! Both teams are going nowhere. If the Texans can't beat an average Raiders team then they have no business thinking of contending.

Gary Kubiak should resign now....because without Super Mario (I bet Judge hasn't heard that before) the Texans are as hoepless as the hapless Philly Eagles.

What an original article title.  Never heard that one before.  Some things can't be used enough.

Houston, you have a problem

Houston's biggest problem is Kubiak doesn't know how to manage a game.

Too bad he can't go down with an injury and sit out the season.

Houston, you have a problem

Houston still has a few players that can make a difference.  I hope the Ravens, who typically have a good game coming off a bye, aren't looking past them.

Houston, you have a problem

If Petyon comes back for the final half of the season, the Colts could win the division 8-8.

Houston, you have a problem

I was worried when i saw Houston coming into Baltimore, but without Andre and now Williams, this game is not that big of a threat anymore. Didn't they lose their fullback, too?
