Pat Summitt has been known to say :

"Offense Sells Tickets, Defense Wins Games, & Rebounding Wins Championships!!!

Last night the Tennessee ladies again showed this to be true with their back to back and 8th National Championship.

Go Vols.

GO VOLS!!!  wish the men's team could have gone farther but I guess now I will be looking forward to going back to Knoxville to see UT beat Bama's ass.  I am in law school at AL right now and had a bunch of friends down for that extremely painful game this year

That is a saying I have heard my entire life, and it is true. They have played good defense the entire tourney, but the Stanford game was the best the Lady Vols had played. In LSU, they got a little lucky, the tigers could not make a shot either. In Stanford they just shut them down. Congrats to the UT Lady Vols and Coach Summitt!

Very impressive resume for Pat Summit.  The rest of the country is catching up(talent wise).  10 years from now I think that the wealth will be more spread out.  Tennessee is this generations version of John Wooden's UCLA teams.  With more female athletes stepping it up we should also see more competition across the board.  Seems like every year in the women's tournament, nothing exciting happens until the Elite 8.  The competition is just not good enough yet.  Hopefully, that will change sooner rather than later.  It will make women's basketball more fun to watch and follow.  Congrats Tennessee!
