Blog Entry

A lesson learned, thanks CBSsportsline.

I have revised this blog to show my appreciation for CBSsportsline's fairness with me in private conversation regarding an improper and off-topic post I made on the main CBB board a little over a week ago.

I will try to limit my posts on the boards to sports related topics as best as I can, and will post non-sports related comments on my personal blog.  I definetely don't want to have a repeat post in which there is a chance that I may offend anyone.

Thank you again Sportstline staff and moderators.

Sean.

CBS can say it, but I can't.

And now you are deleting my comments? Really nice. Got something to hide? Don't worry about it. Delete what you want. I'm done with you anyway

I did not intentionally delete your comment.  I went to replay to your comment and hit delete instead.  Then, in a whirl of further bad luck, I tried to hit the back button on my stupid laptop keyboard and hit enter instead.  So I appologize for that deletion.

As you can see however, what you had to say in the post that I deleted is quoted in my next reply to you.  So it is there for others to read.

Again, I am sorry about that and it was not intentional.

Hey gallagsc! You can always say... Whats Goin' On - Marvin Gaye !

also: Interesting someone would write a paragraph just to say they don't care. Seems they proved they do care by posting anything. Hmmmm

Thank you Sky.

The reason that I decided to post this on my blog is because A) That is where CBS has told me they wanted all non-sports related posts to go, and B) So those who didin't want to read this, wouldn't have to unless they went out of their way to do so.

It's not that I respect or disrespect you. What does being gay have to do with anything? In 2008, why is this an issue? You have continously ducked my question all night long. I have a wife and four kids, and I have absolutely no problem with UCLA if their student body was 1% or 100% gay. It doesn't have anything to do with anything!

I didn't create the thread about UCLA's student body and I never said that being gay or not being gay was an issue.  I posted a straight-forward queston and those who cared to vote, did so.

My question was never about having a problem with anything, it was purely done out of curiousity.

Did you talk to Coleridge about this ? Maybe he can help you out by either deleting the warnings or giving you a straight up answer from an actual human, of why they gave you a warning and deleted your thread. Sometimes I don't think the people you e-mail at the help center are actually humans. They post the same exact paragraph of reasoning to everybody. Unless they just copy and paste it off of something. No I did not Mikesr17 and I'm not sure how to go about getting in touch with him.  I did send a PM to Shueless however, he explained that he was unable to do anything and  told me to email help, which I did.  And their response was as you saw in my blog.

I have already lost respect for you since you are worried about your rating. Who really cares? Does it make you more credible because you have a higher rating? The amount of published content I have had compared to yours is a lot to none. Your score is way higher than mine. Does that make you better at what you do? No. If you want a personal blog with your personal viewpoints and issues that are non sports related, go somewhere else. Nobody cares

This is not just about my rating, it is about consistancy by CBS and their admin when enforcing the board rules.  Also, it has been made clear to me by a CBSsportsline rep that posts unrelated to sports are more welcome on the blog part of the site the the main sports boards.

So I will continue to post all things sports and non-sports related here.  I am sorry you do not repsect what I have to say, which is your personal right, but don't presume that others on this board have not enjoyed my posts because you do not.

CBS is probably thinking, "Why is he making this an issue?" It's 2008. The issue will only go away if we stop making it an issue. It shouldn't be an issue anymore.

I'm not making this an issue on the main CBB board, but posting this on my personal blog so that those who do not want to see it or read it do not have to do so.
