Brandon Phillips and Ryan Braun

During my fantasy research, I came across Brandon Phillips, ranked around twenty overall.  I believe that Phillips is grossly underrated.  This man deserves a first round pick, around 10th overall in my opinion.  Phillips is a 30/30 90/90 guy at second base!  Second base is even drier than short stop this season and a power player like Phillips will be really valuable for your team.  Take him instead of an Alfonso Soriano, or Grady Sizemore.  A strategy for those of you with late picks: get Ryan Braun and then Phillips...If you have a late pick a great OF will not be there by late round 3 (Rios is the best probably) and Braun will get OF eligibility and does just about everything.  What do you guys think about Braun and Phillips, 2 one year wonders ranked very high this year?

Ryan Braun is the better choice

He has been beating up the cardinals in the brewers and cardinals most current meetings just last night last night he hit a monster 2 run homer. Right now it looks he should have won the home run derby. I think the brewers game is ruining him. Braun dominates!!!!!!!!!!

Brandon Phillips and Ryan Braun

Brandon Phillips might get 30-30 again this year, but I think he gets more RBI this year. Last year he hit in the 2 hole for most of the early part of the season. This year he should be settled in the 4th spot in the lineup for the entire season.  Phillips also hit for a good average of about .290. Phillips is rapidly turning into one of my favorite player in the game. He is valuable stat wise, and is incredibly valuable to Reds. They got a good deal getting him for 4 years at just under 28 million.

My draft I got Brandon Phillips in the 3rd round (after Hanley Ramirez and Grady Sizemore).

What I have seen of Braun has certainly been impressive, except his defense which is meaningless in fantasy baseball because his bat will get him in the lineup. Braun will probably be a little overvalued by some (but is still a round 1 or 2 player).

Those would certainly be good guys to build your team around.

Brandon Phillips and Ryan Braun

I couldn't agree more with your drafting strategy. Braun and Phillips appear to be the real deal (Phillips probably more proven) You can't go wrong with either one, much less both.
