Top 15 for the 2009 NFL Draft

-Brought to you by OnlineSportsFanatic.com

1. LB James Laurinaitis (Ohio State)
  • Can read all the plays and stops the run very well.

2. WR Michael Crabtree (Texas Tech)*
  • One of the most athletic receivers to come out in a while.

3. CB Malcolm Jenkins (Ohio State)
  • Jenkins can be a successful NFL cornerback.

4. RB Chris Wells (Ohio State)
  • Will likely be the top running back available in 2009

5. DE Tyson Jackson (LSU)
  • Big man stuffs the line and makes big plays for LSU.

6. OT Michael Oher (Ole Miss)
  • Oger will be a cornerstone on whichever line takes him.

7. WR Percy Harvin (Florida)*
  • Very very athletic. Harvin can do it all and is super quick.

8. LB Ray Maualuga (USC)
  • Should be a great NFL linebacker for years to come.

9. QB Tim Tebow (Florida)*
  • Can do it all. Many think he can be a franchise QB.

10. S Myron Rolle (Florida State)*
  • Very talented safety from the Seminoles.

11. OT Andre Smith (Alabama)*
  • Smith is a super talented tackle that will help any line.

12. LB Brandon Spikes (Florida)*
  • Spikes has to improve in some areas but is very talented.

13. OG Duke Robinson (Oklahoma)
  • Another great lineman. Robinson should be a high pick.

14. S Nic Harris (Oklahoma)
  • Harris is one of the better defensive backs available in 09.

15. RB P. J. Hill (Wisconsin)
  • Hill is a little slow but his power is what gets him here.

NOTE: BEFORE I GET ANY MEAN COMMENTS, MICHAEL CRABTREE WAS REDSHIRTED IN 2006, MEANING HE CAN ENTER THE NFL DRAFT AFTER THIS SEASON.

THe only way I see Tebow entering the draft after this next season is if he wins the national championship and has like a 65-70% completion percentage. One of those wont happen, Tebow will stay for senior year.

Top 15 for 2009 NFL Draft

THis is an okay list...PJ Hill isnt top 15, he's top 3 in college, but projecting to the NFL, scouts wont like him that much. He could go 1st round though, but not top 15. By the way, just lookin out, you spelled rEy Maualuga wrong. Rey is spelled with an E not an A.

Top 15 for 2009 NFL Draft

This list is meaningless, at least two of these guys will get hurt another two suspended and 20 other better prospects will surface before the next draft.  Lists like these are a waste of time.

Top 15 for 2009 NFL Draft

plus this list feels a little (alright VERY) biased

Would you mind telling me how you believe this list is biased? I have seen many mock drafts for the 09 draft and all three Florida players are taken among the top 15 almost every time. I am a sports writer first and a Florida fan second. I am not trying to be biased at all. This is a very very early projection of the top 15. I put a lot of time into this and did not try to be biased in any way.

Another big name will be Arian Foster, RB from Tennessee.  He was projected to be a high pick in this years draft but decided to come back for his senior year.
