Mock Draft results

This was the mock draft I did with users Tuesday, July 28. I had the No. 7 pick and went with a different strategy with QB in Round 1 and took Brees. I never expected to go RB with the next three picks but couldn't pass up Westbrook (Round 2), Jacobs (Round 3) or McFadden (Round 4). Instead of taking a WR, I went TE next with Clark. As you can see, WR is a problem area, but I still can be competitive and make a trade. My biggest piece is Palmer, who should not be there as late as he was.

Now it's your turn. Vote in the comment area on who you think has the best team. Thanks, and I understand if you don't pick me.

Mock Draft results

I would have to take Andrews team.  Arguably the top QB in the game in Tom Brady, 3 quality backs being led by Brown and Ward, and two of the top 4 WR's.  Not to mention a great kicker in Mason Crosby and most lileky a very inspired Eagles defense playing for their fallen coach, Jim Johnson.  Just my take

Team management is of utmost importance in this format. With only 5 bench spots extra care must be taken. Take Jeff for example. In week 6 his K,TE and D/ST as well as 3 of his 4 WRs have the same bye week. He will lose at least 3 drafted players to the waiver wire in week 6. Patrick,Justin,Anthony,Mark and Brian all drafted an extra K,TE or D/ST which you can't do in this format and expect to succeed.Brian has no back up QB with Garrard not drafted! Makes no sense to have Panthers D/ST on bench when you start the Steelers with a Week 8 Bye. Brian will have to lose Elam in Week 4  when all he had to do was draft a K with a different bye week than Celek and the Steelers to keep his starters all year. Someone mentioned Manny slipped after drafting his WRs. I strongly disagree. M.Lynch,K.Moreno,J.Stewart and Ray Rice are a great group of RBs for this year. He would be better served dropping Fred T. and grabbing Garrard as back up at QB.Andrew has no value on his bench. Jamey wins this with a well thought out draft plan and balance everywhere. Manny will make the playoffs the rest is up for grabs.

Andrew and Patrick have the best overall teams. Anthony and Francis would be next here. Very interesting. Thanks.

I would pick Brian's team.  Very solid throughout, especially if Celek lives up to the hype.

If compared to Francis' team:

I would go with LJ over Thomas Jones.  With no passing game, Jones will come nowhere near his 2008 numbers, I think he will revert to his 2007 numbers but with a few more TDs.

I am concerned about Marshall.  He is unhappy in Denver, had offseason surgery, may be suspended again for battery (trial in August I think?), no more Cutler...  But Brian is solid with Colston and Roddy.

The real reason that Brian's team is the hands down winner is his RB depth.  AP, LJ, Beanie, Benson, Fred Taylor.  All 5 may be opening day starters.  This is much more attractive than Slaton, Thomas Jones, Julius Jones, Greene.

While Francis does have the edge at QB and TE, I would roll with Brian's squad.  And I wouldn't be so quick to write off Cutler either, in spite of the WR situation...

I have to go with Francis.  He/she has only one weakness, and that's at backup QB; and Campbell may actually do well enough to warrant the pick.  Francis isn't as strong at RB as maybe Patrick, Jeff, Bryan or even the Guru Himself, and his WRs aren't as strong as Manny, who fell apart after drafting his WRs, but his overall team looks like the one to beat.  He's got a quality QB, very good backs and WRs, a top rated TE and a great DST.  I think the next three teams are Brian, Jeff and Jamie, in no particular order.  That said, If Brian had a better QB, he would win hands down.
