LeGarrette Blount's Fantasy value in 2011 is ...

We're in the middle of our first 2011 Fantasy Football mock draft, and I like the way my team has started. Some of you, however, disagree with my third-round pick.

I went Arian Foster at No. 1 overall, and in the second round I took Tom Brady. In Round 3, I was hoping Calvin Johnson or Roddy White would fall to me, but both went in Round 2 after Andre Johnson as the top three receivers. That left me looking at a second running back.

On my draft list, the best player was Tampa Bay running back LeGarrette Blount. He proved his worth in half a season in 2010, and he should run well again in 2011 as the featured running back for the Bucs. He has a good offensive line, plenty of talent around him with Josh Freeman, Mike Williams and Kellen Winslow and a favorable schedule next year.

But some of you think that was too early for Blount. Here are the running backs who went after him: Ahmad Bradshaw, Ryan Mathews and BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Still on the board who could be comparable value are Jonathan Stewart, Ryan Grant, Ryan Torain, Cedric Benson, DeAngelo Williams and Shonn Greene.

I don't know about you, but I like Blount better than most, if not all, of those guys. But I posed the question on Twitter @jameyeisenberg if you trust Blount as a starting Fantasy option in 2011. Here are your responses ...

@BrycePrunty Let's see if Blount hits anyone in the off season first...

@commishpjn think he can be a decent #2 back.

@stevethelawyer Yes.

@mikem57 great question, I DO! What"s your take??

@bsmurray06 Yes, I think he realizes what a great second chance he got with Tampa.

@oCLAYBOYo worried about timeshare Jamey, do you see that happening?

@ErikRBaughn upside is Brandon Jacobs circa 2008. So late 2nd early 3rd

@live2trade next year should be a tougher schedule

@dcChuck As of right now I do but I don't think you can tell until after the draft

@Lhiob given the full reps in training camp as the 1st team back, yes.

@MoonSetGallery had him this year. Solid #2 in my eyes for 2011

@gingerdad1 I trust Blount in the 2nd-3rd tier for RB's. I may be crazy but I am going all in on the Bucs next year!

@RJones22 I'd trust LeGarrette as my #2 starting RB, not putting all my eggs in that basket yet as #1

@AgentJR3 nope, he can't run like that for a full season and not get hurt.

@Ross_Spargur yes! he did great and really played hard. He would have been a high draft choice if he didnt punch that guy...

@DarrellDawson I sure as hell hope I do. Lot riding on him. Just need him to not punch anybody out during offseason.

@jigbim LeGarrette Blount is a RB3, at best a RB2 during the bye weeks

@Twerley62 no

Blount will likely be one of those running backs that either falls far enough where he's great value, or someone might reach for him too soon. I think Round 3 is where he should be drafted, and I would gladly take him as my No. 2 running back in any standard league.
