What is Tony Romo's Fantasy value for 2011?

Here was Monday's Twitter question @jameyeisenberg: Do you still trust Tony Romo as a No. 1 Fantasy quarterback?

In our 2011 rankings, I have Romo ranked No. 8 behind Aaron Rodgers, Michael Vick, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Philip Rivers and Matt Schaub. And in our first mock draft for 2011, Romo went in Round 3, ahead of Schaub.

He'll be considered somewhat of a risk for Fantasy owners since he only appeared in six games before suffering a broken left clavicle this past season, and before he got hurt he had 1,605 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions. But if you project his stats over a full season he would have finished with 4,280 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.

The upside for Romo is great. You can probably draft him later than Round 3, and last year he didn't have a lot of time to work with rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant, who finally got healthy from nagging ankle, hip and hamstring injuries right when Romo went down. With Miles Austin and Jason Witten still playing well, and Jason Garrett now the full-time head coach, Romo should shine this year. He is a definite No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues.

Here's what you guys had to say about Romo for 2011 ...

@iMarques82 I think Romo will have a HUGE year.

@BennysDad916 because of an injury, he's not a #1 anymore? All he does is put up numbers!

@bigjon559 yes, but I'd only get him with a 4th or 5th round pick

@RossMooring Romo could EASILY end up with top 5 QB numbers. Was on pace for 5,000 yards thru first 5 games! Has Austin-Bryant-Witten.

@CdotNICHOLAS if he's still throwing to Miles, Dez, and Witten then I do.

@oCLAYBOYo Yes, offensive line still looks good and wide receiver corps looks good as well. The Cowboys will make some noise with Romo

@ONN8 absolutely

@AP_Manning I think I'd trust you as a #1 QB with Bryant, Austin, and Witten to throw to.

@marciaherold Romo? In the immortal words of The Who: We won't get fooled again.

@rockhoundlsu I have to put him in my top 10 probably around the same area as Freeman, so yes starter but not top 5.

@j2_whittington never did in the first place

@thecliffadams Absolutely still trust Romo, and probably even more now that he has Dez as a weapon

@ErikRBaughn he's a number 1

@AgentJR3 with the way the offense performed under Garrett and the junk qbs he was using, romo could have his best season yet.

to Rockhound--> You're crazy....Freeman and Romo similar? NOT EVEN CLOSE. Romo is a surefire number 1 QB who plays at a HIGH level when healthy year in and out. Freeman hasn't shown that he can pass for more than mid 3,000's in a season. I like Freeman as a number 2 with alot of upside and I like Romo as a number 1. However, anyone drafting Freeman as your number one, BEWARE.
