Some of you may have seen this thread, but it is still boggling my mind. Check this out:

Last 10- 7-3

Notable Losses advantage- USC

How can people be such haters? USC obviously doesnt belong in anybody's top 26. If they do, Kentucky deserves a tournament bid.

Southern California?

I understand what you all are saying. I dont think Kentucky deserves to be side-along with USC. I completely agree, USC is looking better for the tournament then Kentucky. But arent top 25 teams pretty much guaranteed a tourny bid? I'm just saying, if USC is top 25, Kentucky should at least be in the tournament.

Southern California?

In my latest projections I have USC as a 7 seed, and I believe Kentucky is my 9th team out. As of now there's just too much difference in the computer numbers, especially RPI, and I personally believe that USC is the better team. USC, outside of the loss to Mercer, really hasn't done anything to prove they don't belong, while Kentucky just didn't play well at all non conference.

But if Kentucky keeps winning and can get to 12 SEC wins, they may sneak back in the picture. It still may take a win or 2 in the tournament, but seeing where they were early in the season, it's amazing the comeback they've made. I've got them on my radar, and now I'm just waiting on them to prove they belong or don't.

Southern California?

I posted this on your other thing.

Heres a few other things

USC has a higher RPI and Non-conference RPI, the Non-conf SOS are both about 100
USC is 4-1 against 50-100 and UK is 0-3
Both have 3 wins against top 50, USC has more loses to them though.

USC has 2 loses outside of the top 50, UK has 5.

I think The loses has a big part of it. USC with only 2 loses to teams outside the top 50 is pretty impressive. While I wouldnt rank USC in the top 25 I think USC has quite a bit better resume than UK. If I were ranking USC Id put them around 35 and UK 65-70.

Pomeroy actually has USC rated at 23rd which is usually pretty accurate
