Did you know that it is possible for a team to win an NFL football game 1-0?

Can anybody tell me how....without looking on google?

It's a true fact and can be done.

Need a hint?

4/27 - Strange Sports Trivia

Top of the ninth tonight.  Another Philadelphia fan runs out on the field.  No Taser was used, nobody was tackled. and two security guards were used instead of one.  They let the nut run out of steam and then they escorted him out.

Well, maybe the kid had to pull up his pants to run, but most teenagers like to wear their pants low anyway.  Looking at the security guy's gut, whether the kid had his pants up or down, that security guy was never going to catch up to the kid.

I wonder if they train you to shoot a taser on the run like that.

I dunno.  He might have been.  It looked like the only thing keeping his pants up was himself.  How about the 275 lb security dude chasing him down.

Now I've seen the photo on Shuless Joe's caption contest today.  He wasn't streaking, but they did use a taser on him.

4/27 - Strange Sports Trivia

Cards beat the Phils tonight.  The highlight of the game was not shown on the Cardinal telecast.  The game was halted for a streaker which the camera avoided, but the announcers told us he was tasored.

Also, as part of your unassited triple play, I'm amazed how many people don't realize being hit by a batted ball constitues runner interference and the runner is out (unless the player stays on the base).  I remember one game one of my guys (I was playing at the time) hit a line shot down the third base line and I was smart enough to keep my foot firmly planted on third.  Took one for the team.

4/27 - Strange Sports Trivia

Yeah, I ump Rec softball (we use ASA rules) and I don't know why more people don't run on a catch or drop.  Most often the third baseman doesn't know that he needs to tag since there is no force (in either case but especially on a drop) due to the batter runner already being out.

4/27 - Strange Sports Trivia

I should have looked that up before trying to answer it.  George Will gives a similar scenario, but one base runner needs to be out for passing a runner before the infield fly hits the passed runner and it all needs to happen near one infielder who would then get credit for all three outs.

One time I was playing intramural softball in college.  I was running at second when an infield fly was called so I stayed on second until the ball was caught.  But I noticed nobody on the other team was paying attention so I ran to third after the catch.  One of the two umpires covering the game was insisting that I needed to return to second.  I told him an infield fly is not a dead ball situation and I was entitled to advance at my own risk.  I asked him to check with the other umpire.  The other umpire told him I was correct so I stayed on third while our team manager and the other team manager were asking what in the heck was going on.

4/27 - Strange Sports Trivia

The only way I can think of is Usain Bolt hits a base loaded shot to the outfield, and ignorant of the rules of baseball, passes up all three other runners.  Am I close?

How about if Mr Bolt hits an infield fly with the bases loaded and the runner at first gets hit by the ball and the runner at second passes the runner at third?  But I don't know who would get credit for the outs.

4/27 - Strange Sports Trivia

Although extremely unconventional, it is possible for a player to get an unassisted triple play without ever touching the ball. How?The only way I can think of is Usain Bolt hits a base loaded shot to the outfield, and ignorant of the rules of baseball, passes up all three other runners.  Am I close?
