Get your popcorn ready Buffalo!!!

Welcome to Buffalo Terrel Owens and thank you for joining our Bills team that needs much help. First of all. Cowboys , Eagles and 49ers fans get over it!  When your teams were winnin with 81 in your offense, no one was saying how bad he was.  As soon as your teams start going down hill, well then the scape goat of its T.O.s fault.  The Bills haven't made the post season in a decade and they really have nothing to lose, so why the heck not?  I am a long time Bills fan and I was ready for something to happen... Little did I know the magnitude I was in for.  Look at some points I have to make and say I am wrong.

  • Trent Edwards - Everyone keeps saying "oh, poor Trent... He is gonna ruin his career because of this cancer".  You know what, if he can't manage to throw the ball to either Owens or Evans, well then the guy is not cut out to be a quarterback in the NFL.  T.O. may be this and he may be that, but one thing I do know is the guy wants to win.  Trent Edwards will be fine.
  •  I keep hearing all these people talking about how great our recieving core is and that T.O. will only take away from them.  Hello?  Do you all not know who the Bills are.  Our best reciever Lee Evans has a very hard time getting the ball because he has no one else on the team to take attention away from him.  Lets be honest, Josh Reed is a great possesion reciever, but he doesn't require Wes Welker like attention in that slot.  Roscoe Parrish is a specialty reciever and he is great at what he does, but he is not the consistant wideout to move the chains time in and out.  How does no one realize that over the last two seasons the Bills WRs have caught 15 touchdown passes.  Terrel Owens caught 25 td passes alone in those two seasons.
  • Marketing - Do we not know that the Bills are lucky to get one primetime game a season?  Its very rare they do, but with T.O. in town now I think it is safe to assume the Bills will land at least one or two primetime gigs this season.  The Bills home is a wonderful place to watch a game, but fans do become disgrunteled after season and season and season losing.  Terrel Owens will help get those seasts full for all home games and definitely will increase jersey sles most likely.

Terrel Owens has yet another chance to make up for the dumb things he has done, but one thing I know for sure is it cannot get any worse than it has been the last 10 years!

"Terrel Owens is, I think, the best reciever in the NFL. "

I don't think he's as good as:

Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith, Calvin Johnson, or Brandon Marshall. The stats would seem to back me up. TO was a great receiver (he's never been better than Moss -ever), but there are plenty of young talented receivers outplaying him at this juncture. He's still good, but hardly the best receiver in the NFL. At this point in his career he is barely cracking the top 10.

It's more like get 3 additional staff members for your public relations department and while your at it, give them all a big raise. It's only March and I'm already sick of hearing about T.O.

Don't like it? Don't read it!

I know Jesus was The Truth and this is the truth, so Jesus must be among us. Yes, TO is nothing but a 5 y/o brat in a 35 y/o body.

Being an Eagles fan I honestly would love to have him back.  He dominated, and I liked his intensity on the field, unlike Donovan McNabb T.O. would get hype and motivated on the sideline.  Some took it as him being T.O., but I liked his passion and translated it as him wanting to win, and we won, and went to the Super Bowl.

Buffalo got a steal at $6.5 million for one year.  This guy is always on his best behaivor year one so kudos Buffalo you instantly upgraded your receiving core.

I challenge you to think logically! I'm gonna walk you thru a few steps that we can generalize as your presently heralded TO's career. SF to Philly and into Dallas. On the move yet again. Wonder why that is? Might it have something to do w/ his lackluster play?? Possibly! One TD catch for 70 yds doesn't warrant a full season's worth of work and 4 mill. The guy gives up when the odds are stacked against him and more notably the team he plays for. Introduce a conference where now virtually every team can compete and expect the same. Might his attitude have something to do with another eventful departure? Possibly! TO is a disease that even the most tempered environments(Buffalo!) can handle. By week 9, he will complain about Lynch getting so many touches, Evans being the WR-drive of the offense, and ultimately TO's presence being reduced to a pathetic Red Zone receiver. Edwards sucks in terms of every other QB he's had throwing to him and trust me.. TO will find something wrong w/ him too! TO is not what is going to put Buffalo on the NFL's and America's doorstep and TV screen(unless its for all the wrong reasons! NEGATIVE PUBLICITY). Buffalo is the grave of Terrell Owens. Congrats on your accomplishments of signing Crybaby of the decade candidate TO! If you think it can't get any worse in Buffalo then put on your rain gear and boots. The sh*tstorm is about to hit NY in no mans land.

Slotiget88, you do remember the reason the Bills lost to the Cowboys on that Monday night game is because Trent Edwards threw an interception within the last 2 minutes that led to the Cowboys tying the game, and then eventually winning it. Just wanted to point that out first.

Second, Terrel Owens is, I think, the best reciever in the NFL. Maybe being on a low market team will take away from media attention, but I doubt it. The problem with the Bills getting TO is that the Bills like to run the ball and use it to set up the pass. Look at the Cowboys, Eagles, and 49ers when T.O. was on them, all kind of pass happy. So I don't know if that is a good mix with Trent Edwards at QB.

Third, TO doesn't do anything for Buffalo in means of making the playoffs or not. The Bills still need help on the defensive side of the ball, and their offensive line has troubles. Not to mention the fact the Coach, Jauron, doesn't seem all that great...as someone else put it "a deer in headlights". This team needed a new coach and instead they extended Jauron's contract.

I am not a Bills fan but I would like to see them do well. I live in upstate NY and they do have very passionate fans so after 10 years without being in the playoffs, I would like to see the Bills get a winning season together. I just don't think the combination of Jauron, Edwards, and Owens is it.

Trent Edwards plays with a lot of heart. He looked decent on the road against Dallas a few years ago on MNF

in a game when the bills almost ended Dallas's undefeated season until a loss in the last minutes.

(I remember the game being close and dalls winning. However I'm unsure if they were undefeated at that point

would have also been the Pats almost undefeated season)

Since then he has matured greatly though. He is a leader and wants to win. So does TO.
