The first coach to get fired was, duh, Eric Mangini, I mean the guy was younger than his qb, he's gotta be fired. Who ever the Jets pick to be there head coach, will be the 18th jets coach and 16th full time field leader. The jets also announced that they would like Brett Favre to stay on their roster for next season. If i were a jets fan i would not agree, good thing im not. Another coach who has been fired today was Lions coach Rod Marinelli. Marrineli was coach of the lions for 3 years, and his record was 10-38. (Ouch!) He was also th first coach in nfl history to coach a team to an 0-16 seaon. The lions also cut all of there defensive and offensive coaching staff except for the running back coach, Sam gash, wide receiver coach, Shawn Jefforson, and they moved the offensive coordinator, Jim Coletto, to offensive linemen coach. The Last coach to get fired was Romeo Crennel, who coached the Browns to a 4-12 record this seaon. The Browns also fired GM phil savage. The Browns will try to get retired coach Bill Cowher, who is now a sports analyst for CBS. Crennel played 4 seasons for the browns and had a 24-40 record overall.
