Steelers & Cardinals

This seems like it should be a Steeler win but I just dont see it.  The strength of Pitt is D and Zona is O. Pitt has an ok O and Zona ther D is ok as well. So I think both teams actually come out even.  I think Heath Miller will play a big part for Pitt becuase of the Heins Ward injury.  I think Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald will still have a big game.  They have played great against 2 good d's in the Eagles and the Panthers.  The Steelers injuries may play a part in this game, Big Ben and Ward that is a big part of there offense.  Willie Parker will have a lot on his shoulders as will Miller like I said before.  Anquan Boldin should have a big game with alot of the focus and attention going to Larry on the other side of the feild and look out for James hes due for a big break out game.  The Cards have more to prove in this game with all the doubters out there.  If Pitt gets pressure of Warner he wil make the bad throws and that should be the focus of the game.  Warner with time will lead the Cards to win, he reads the blitz very well ask the Eagles.  The Steeers cant settle for FG's and Ben cant throw too many picks. Im taking the Cardinals.

Super Bowl

Very good and I agree

I don't think the Cards can handle the 3-4 but if they can protect Warner the game will go to the Cards.

I will be rooting for the Cards because I want someone new to win.

Super Bowl

When push comes to shove Pittsburgh is simply the more physical and experienced team.  I give all the credit in the world to Arizona for having such an impressive season but they haven't played a team that can match Pittsburgh's intensity and physicality. The Steelers will be prepared defensively and offensively.  Arizona's main offensive threat (Fitz) will be contained and unable to do what he does best.  Therefore the fast-pace and big plays the Arizona Cardinals thrive off of will be non-existent. Big Ben feels he has much to prove after his lousy performance at Super Bowl XL. With a healthy Willie Parker and what seems to be an improving offensive line Ben won't have to do it all on his own. The old motto "defense wins championships" is arguably the most valued football ideal and come Sunday, the Steelers will prove once again exactly why. Go Stillers..... Soon to be 6X WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!

Super Bowl

All the media types did their jobs well this week and convinced the public that Arizona has a good chance to win. Everyone loves the underdog.  Well, the hype is over.  Steelers 34 Arizona 10.

Super Bowl

I feel that you are an AZ fan if you are hoping for the win. I like your comments and agree that the Cards will have to play their A game for 4 quarters to win this game. Warner is an experienced quarterback with great receivers. If he can stay cool in the pocket and not be flushed out and run into secondary he has a great chance to bring a victory. The Steelers will be trying to make Kurt scramble and throw on run. If he decides to run instead of throwing away may result in mistakes such as fumbles or violent collisions.

Super Bowl

I am from western PA and I do not like the atmosphere I feel that the Steelers show up and win this game and go home. This is what the fans feel. What does the Steeler organization feel? They feel that they are playing a team that made it to the Superbowl that represents the NFL National conference. They are not going into this game light hearted. They know what they must do to win this game. If they do not execute their game plan and eliminate mistakes, they will lose. Does Arizona have that same mindset? If they go into this game and match certain players on their team that have the upper edge on Pittsburgh, they will lose. The Steelers are a team that is a band of brothers. When one goes down or fails an assignment, there is someone to step up to make the big play that turns the game into the Steelers favor. Look out Zona. Don't get a lead in this game and feel to comfortable. The Steelers can score quick and late in games. Also the focus has been on the Steelers D and the Cardinals O. Don't forget special teams. Who has that edge?

Super Bowl

Though I'm rooting big time for the Cardinals, I've seen the Steelers as a big favorite in the Superbowl from the start.  I just find it difficult to picture Arizona's O-line surviving the vicious Pitt defense.

However, something weird has happened on sportsline.  Last week, a poll came out asking who would win the Superbowl.  At that time, 65% said Steelers.  Yesterday, it was at 50-50.  Just now, I noticed the Cards had outvoted the Steelers 56-44.  I don't know what is going on, but all of the sudden the impossible is possible.  The Cardinals appear to be on a track of destiny when the whole country is pulling them on.  I would not be surprised if Zona pulled a huge upset, especially if they can come out with a fast start.  If Warner is confident and firing early, Pitt's offense may struggle from behind.  Zona can't fall back, though, as they have proven a questionable second half team, not to mention the Steel defense.

I'll keep my fingers crossed.  Go Cards!

Super Bowl

I disagree. Warner and the Cards need to get off to an incredible start to win this game. Yes, they played two good defenses and what I saw against the Eagles was what I expect to see from Warner. Warner got hit a few times and his passes were everywhere but where they were supposed to be. He rushed his throws and looked flustered. The Eagles utterly dominated the second half. Give Warner credit, he did lead one effective drive in the second half and that was enough. However, if the Cards expect to win this game, they will need to put together two good halves of football. Rothlisberger is a better game manager than McNabb and won't let the game get out of hand in the first half. If the Pitt defense gets to Warner and the game is close, Big Mo will be on Pitt's side and the game could get out of hand.

I actually hope AZ wins. I'd like to see someone different than the usual raise that trophy. But, what I'd like to see and what I expect to see...
