Which is more likely to happen first?

Yeah having Farve on the Vikings certainly would have helped improve the teams chances for winning games.  But the Packers were not going to trade him to us.  I can't remember right now but they threw down road block after road block to make sure that he didn't end up wearing purple on sundays.

And the Jets would still be the Jets if they didn't have Brett.

Anyone want to argue what the addition of Favre to the Vikes would have done for their Superbowl chances this year.  The Vikes are only  a solid QB away from the title, in my humble opinion.  He would make the running game better which would make their offense pretty much unstoppable.  The defense is solid.

Face the Jets suck without him.  Period.

Which is more likely to happen first?

Interesting question sunnyside!  I say the Cubs because, despite losing in the playoffs, they looked real good this year.  I think they'll do even better next year and maybe even win the World Series!  Again, interesting question!

Which is more likely to happen first?

I only ask this because both of these teams have a real history of losing the big game.  Vikings have never won a superbowl since its inception and have gone 0-4 in SB appearances (all in the 70's mind you but I know you know that.)  While the cubs have gone the century mark since winning the title.

I think more teams in the MLB have had a taste of championship success than the NFL but that would be due to just how long the leagues have been around.

It would just appear that the aura of losing hangs over both of these clubs.

I'm sure it would be easier to do so in the NFL with the number of games, salary cap etc where in baseball the playing field isn't always even monetarily speaking and then you have to deal with 162 games not including the extended playoffs.

Which is more likely to happen first?

That is a very good question. The Vikings fans didn't turn on one of their own like Bartman but one fan did hit a ref in the head with a whiskey bottle after the Drew Pearson Hail Mary so both have demons. Both at least are moving in the right direction right now.
