The Habs

the montreal Canadiens are perhaps the most talented team is the NHL. They are faster and more graceful than any other playoff team. Yet they still struggle against teams they are much better than (Bruins, Flyers a combined 16-0 against them in the regular season). This brings me to believe the Habs lack heart. Players such as Kovalev, Higgins and Plekanec have not steped their games up, they arent playing bad just not what i expect in the playoffs. These Younger players like the Kostysyns and Lapierre have worked their buts off while Higgins misses open nets and Michael Ryser sits on the bench. This lack of heart among the Assistant captains (Kovalev, Higgins, and Markov not Koivu as Koivu is all heart) is what IMO the reason we are not winning.

The next issue is Goaltending. Carey Price is amazing. He is the future of the Habs and maybe the best goalie prospect of all time. These playoffs he has not been consistant, he was amazing in 4 games against the bruins and he was less than stellar the other 3. Last night he was absolutely disgusting. That shorthanded goal was dispicable and even the other two were weak. We really need for him to show up tommorow night because when he is on his game we win plain and simple. I for one think it would be a shame if Halak started, not be cause Price has sucked, but because Price needs his confidence up and he is the reason we have made it this far to doubt him now is exactly what he doesnt need it could ruin him. See. Raycroft for the leafs (amazing now he sucks). We need to Start Carey and give him some defense and get the early lead which is key.

By the way next year gives me the shivers especially if we could lure a sniper to replace Ryder that could score 30 goals a season.

Go Habs, in no time they will have me singing OLE OLE and P.S if we make it o the finals me and my buds are driving up to Montreal to party and watch the games (In a bar because i would have to sell my kidneys to get tickets) and hopefully we could join in the rioting when they win.

OK Mr Mancini,

I was NICE the first time.

YOU are not a hockey fan rather a homer for the Canadiens. A KNEE TO KNEE HIT?? You have NO Idea wtf you are talking about, EVERY Announcer including the ones in Canada said that was a bad call. Richards LED with his shoulder. That is a legal hit knucklehead. OMG!

THE POSTS...OH THE POSTS. Dude they are their because their posts, Saying the freaking shot didnt go in because of the post IS EXACTLY Like say He would have scored had the goalie not been there. Freakin goofball. Outplayed The Flyers?? by taking more shots than the Flyers...whoppdi doo pal, Check the scoreboard, last time I checked that was secondary. STFU and move to Italy. YOUR CLUELESS

LMAO kid, you've had the refs in your back pocket the entire series and you complain about them like they give games to the Flyers?  If that hit on Kapanen wasn't a penalty than what is?  Please tell me.  The Koivu penalty that led to the Flyers first PP goal was a bad one, but just as bad  as the Richards penalty for the boarding called on a clean check from the goal line.  How is a check at the goal line a board?  The Habs had their chances to, Flyers took advantage of theirs and the Habs didn't.  Same thing tonight as it's been all series, Biron Biron Biron.  He's been unbelievable, half of the goals the Flyers have scored have been soft, Price was bad and it wasn't much better tonight with Halak(take Umbergers first goal for example).

THE RICHARDS HIT WAS NOT KNEE TO KNEE.  You say stupid Americans, sorry you cry-baby Canadians have nothing in your life but hockey so use every which way around it to make it look like you're right.  Get out and get some fresh air, the Habs aren't life sorry to tell ya.  Look at a damn replay of that hit, it was his shoulder.  SHOULDER, SHOULDER, SHOULDER.  And then you go on to cry about the refs tonight, what about the INTENTIONAL KNEE TO KNEE on Umberger that was not called.  I bet you think that wasn't knee to knee and wasn't intentional right?  Like I said hypocrite, but yet you say I'm a moron for saying that and I know nothing.  I think I've proven you wrong enough and won't be back to this blog.  I think I'm going to enjoy the 3-1 Flyers series lead.

Flyers goals haven't been flukes, just poor goaltending.  Price was terrible and Biron has been the star of the playoffs.

Thank you RC Philly for Rule 44

Rule 44: Boarding

a. A minor or major penalty, at the discretion of the Referee, based upon the degree of violence of the impact with the boards, shall be imposed on any player who checks an opponent in such a manner that causes the opponent to be thrown violently in the boards. When a major penalty is imposed under this Rule for a foul resulting in an injury to the face or head of an opponent, a game misconduct shall be imposed.

He did not violently throw him into the boards, there was a minor injury (little cut), but nothing serious, and NO WAY was it a violent hit/throw.  So who knows nothing about hockey?  Have fun with 1 final game in Montreal because your season is done.  Don't spend to many nights crying yourself to sleep about it, remember, fresh air is good.

The Habs

Well so far the Habs have dominated, the flyers are taking stupid penalties and there goalie is bailing them out. Philly should have gotten a holding the stick penalty and it would have been a 5 on 3 but what ever the Habs seam more intrested in making it look pretty. All they are doing is passing they need to get shots on net but if it keeps up like this the Habs will easily win.

The Habs

The Habs should be happy the refs gave them a goal and called a crap penalty on Richards in game 1.  Not to mention the Hatcher boarding that was in no way a 5 minute major that completely shifted momentum and gave the Habs 2 goals

You make me laugh u know absolutely nothing. A knee to Knee hit may not look bad but accounts for many injuries. They teach you to avoid it when u first start hockey. Therefore if u hit someone knee to knee you deserve a penalty. Kovalev Dangled Richards and because Richards had no position he collided knee to knee (Which i may add is extremely painful. Ask Michael Peca last year) so it was a great call.

And Hatcher Took Bouilloin into the boards from behind which (whatever hockey you play from minor to pro) is a major penalty and if it happens n the third it is a game misconduct. Also Bouillon was manly despite the Gash in his head and Umberger stayed down like a little girl (What else would i expect from a Philly player.

And don't give me this hitting the post bull like that's bad luck.  It means they missed their shots.  They didn't aim for the post, they aimed for the net, so they missed their target.

It is bad luck. The Habs hit the post a ton and at least half were the inside of the post which is 50-50 if it is going in or kick out and convenintly all kicked out. So i guess u think Richards shot perfectly when it hit Price glove and he droped it in.

f the Flyers lose by a goal tonight and hit 7 posts during the game I will not come in and say that's bad luck we hit a few posts and should have won, it's as simple as they missed their shot.

Its not only the posts. We have outshot u 2-1 in the last two games, also we dominated play. If it wasnt for the fluke goals we'd be up 3-0

but not say anything about the Richards shoulder with a minute left in the game?????  A minute left in the game and replay shows it's not a penalty but that's fair?  But then the replay that shows to many men shouldn't be called because it's a playoff game and killed their momentum?

Well first off Richards went knee to knee which is a penalty u stupid americans dont know sh1t about hockey so u dont realise this. And the 6th man was off the ice early enough. So it shouldnt have been a penalty.

Laughable, you're a hypocrite, you're pure homer.  I'm a homer to, everyone should be for their team, but you're just wrong and nothing you say has any merit what-so-ever.

Well i hope this shows that u are truly an idiot. I hope your team gets blown away.

Also Halak is starting so im not happy

#2 U fyler fans should be thankful that the refs gave that stupid two many men on the ice penalty that killed all momentum. That was way to close to call in the regular season the refs shouldnt have made that call in the playoffs.
The Habs should be happy the refs gave them a goal and called a crap penalty on Richards in game 1.  Not to mention the Hatcher boarding that was in no way a 5 minute major that completely shifted momentum and gave the Habs 2 goals.  It should have been a minor, penalty would've been killed momentum stays with the Flyers and game over with a shutout 3-0 for Biron.  And yes, both goals were scored with under 3 minutes into the major, so the 2 minute minor that should have been called would've been killed.  And don't give me this hitting the post bull like that's bad luck.  It means they missed their shots.  They didn't aim for the post, they aimed for the net, so they missed their target.  When a ball rims out in basketball is that bad luck?  In baseball if the ball goes 2 inches foul from being a home run is that bad luck?  No it means he didn't hit it fair, and it's a strike next pitch.  If the Flyers lose by a goal tonight and hit 7 posts during the game I will not come in and say that's bad luck we hit a few posts and should have won, it's as simple as they missed their shot.  Whether it hits the post or goes a quarter of an inch wide of the post it's still a miss.  Just because it makes a noise and grabs peoples attention does not make it bad luck.  And to say you shouldn't call something that close in the playoffs, but not say anything about the Richards shoulder with a minute left in the game?????  A minute left in the game and replay shows it's not a penalty but that's fair?  But then the replay that shows to many men shouldn't be called because it's a playoff game and killed their momentum?  Laughable, you're a hypocrite, you're pure homer.  I'm a homer to, everyone should be for their team, but you're just wrong and nothing you say has any merit what-so-ever.

The Habs

I like the way you think Mancini. The habs just have to play their game and they should be able to square it up. The thing I fear most is Price. I would feel more secure with Halak in goal. Even in the interview, Price seemed very nervous.  But the habs have to skate full speed and make sure they play well in their own zone. Be patient and take the chances that are given them. The habs are more skillful than the flyers and the habs will probably get more power play ops. But we cannot be loose in our own end. I am pumped for this and feel very worried, but that is what makes for good hockey. The habs showed in game seven what they can do when there backs are up against the wall, well tonight theire backs are against the wall. But the Flyers have more scorring skill than Boston.

Oh and i think Price's Glove hand does hurt from when that goon Umberger slashed his arm to get that goal in game two.

And that reminds me when there is people around the net and the puck is in Price's glove why does the ref not blow the whistle they jst arent blowing it and i think it is getting to price

The Habs

Okay i goofed they were 12 and 0 against these teams in the season.

#1 they are a FAR better team than the Flyers. They are faster, Tougher (When they want to be i mean Kostopolous, Begin, Latendress, and Lapierre not to mention the Kostysyns. They have dominated the series, the last two games they have outshot the flyers 2 to 1 and if it wasnt for the posts montreal would be up 3-0.

#2 U fyler fans should be thankful that the refs gave that stupid two many men on the ice penalty that killed all momentum. That was way to close to call in the regular season the refs shouldnt have made that call in the playoffs.

#3 Downie tripped carey price , Price did not flop. And if he pulls something like that again there is going to be a fight and lets see how that Avery Clone does in a fight, Lapierre will kill him. He is just a goon that cant fight ala Avery.

Tonight is going to be a shutout for price, it will be 3-0 with Kovalev, A. Kostysyn and Markov scoring the goals.

Markov better step his game up or Montreal isnt going to be able to beat pittsburg next round because when the time comes, Montreal will just purely outclass the less supierior Flyers.

And not all Habs fans are Frenchies as you call him, i know being an Italian from Southern Ontario, most of the Italians around here are Hab fans.

And all you Philly fans complaining about rioting, you boo'd santa claus. You have no right to critique other fans.
