A place to encourage members of the CBS Community who come here voluntarily to share positive messages, lift up injured athletes and other important persons in our lives, honor those athletes and individuals who express their faith, and provide support to Community members who seek it in time of need.  Isn't that what a Community does?

This is not a place of debate.  It is a place for positive interaction and assistance to Community members who want to talk sports without obscenities and share hope for our personal growth.

Perserverance is the key...WE must all stand in unity. I pray that our holy God do his work in our lives and that we would humbly submit to his being and the circumstances he places on us - We are MORE THAN conquerers!

ABOVE is a link to CBS admins as to why the prayers threads keep getting deleted. Please come by and say a few words in defense of our attempt to do good through prayer, not to start anything, but to voice our determination to the good versus the other, so that in the future we may be able to stand.

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Hello Sissy. Found you. It concerned me when I saw that the 'Prayers' thread had been removed. I posted the VOD on the College Football board and have gotten excellant feedback so I'll continue there as well as here.

When it comes to giving comfort and spreading God's word, they may hinder but cannot stop.

VOD 02/17/09: Real Treasure

Proverbs 15:6    In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble. (KJV)

Notice that this verse does not just declare there is treasure in the house of the righteous. It says there is much treasure in the house of the righteous. You can also find treasure in the house of the wicked, but Solomon says it is laced with trouble. The income of the wicked has a bunch of trouble with it. But the same is not true for those who are right with God. When the treasure is found in their house, it does not have the same trouble that it does when it is found in the house of the wicked. It is better to have almost nothing and have a right relationship with God than to have everything money can buy and not have a relationship with God. We must get our priorities right. Some people have more prosperity than they know what to do with, but all of their relationships fail. They do not have love. Consequently, there is a vacuum that they can never fill with things, that they can never fill by accumulating more possessions. Pursue your relationship with God, and a right relationship with people. Then you will enjoy the treasure God gives you!

Our Heavenly Father,
Thank You for today and all of Your blessings. Help us to see past the material wealth of this world. Let us enjoy the real treasures; our God, our home, our family, and our friends. Show us that true richness resides in the heart and not in the pocket.
We ask these things in the name of Your most Holy Son, Jesus the Christ…Amen.

May God Bless.

Psalm 18:36
"Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip."

There are some situations that arise in our lives that are as difficult to get through as a deep snowdrift or shifting sand. We struggle, and the more we do, the worse off we become. God reaches out to us in thos e times, gladly lending a hand. He will enlarge our steps, so that we might get over the toughest problems. Believe it.

Dear Lord, equip me with the means to meet life's problems. Often I flounder around, sinking deeper and deeper into tough situation. Liberate me, and set me back on my feet, I pray. Amen.
