A place to encourage members of the CBS Community who come here voluntarily to share positive messages, lift up injured athletes and other important persons in our lives, honor those athletes and individuals who express their faith, and provide support to Community members who seek it in time of need.  Isn't that what a Community does?

This is not a place of debate.  It is a place for positive interaction and assistance to Community members who want to talk sports without obscenities and share hope for our personal growth.

OGR...Good to see you back. I know life can get extremely hectic at times but you are ahead of the game. Your life is blessed with better fortune than many and you haven't lost sight of that.

Welcome home!

Man, I am so very pleased to see you ogr! I know that many of us have missed you! It's been tough manning the "back bench post" without you!

OGR, my partner in crime in arms! Great to see you!!!! I have a very nice 3 pound sledge if you would like to adjust that alarm clock. Just give the word and I'll bring it to you. Keep plugging away buddy, we're all pulling for you. Just remember, the only bad thing about being retired is that you never get a day off.

OGR, I am overjoyed to see you again, my dear and most wonderful twin!!!!  I have missed you, as have all the others, especially the back benchers!!!  Way too quiet and I'm overstocked on cookies and soda---hehehehe, soooo here they come to you and the back benchers to enjoy!  Real cookies this time, no tricks, just treats!  You remain in my prayers each day.  The Prayer thread is up and running again, too, as well as this blog.  I pray that your dreams are as sunny and joyful as you describe and that joy will spill over into the daily routine despite the rudeness of the alarm clock!!!

Be well and blessed in the Lord, dear friend, and much love in Christ,

Here I am in the wind again, out where the will takes me. Laughing and splashing in the summer sun, until the alarm clock awakes me.

I guess those aren't really the words, but kind of say where I've been for some time and for some time to come. Just wanted all of you prayer warriors to know the back bench is still not empty, but has to be kind of quiet sometimes. For now it seems as if it is wake up, go to work, come home worry about work, go to bed and start again with the alarm clock. It is not really so tough for me right now as there are so many out there with really hard times, I pray you all the best that God can give you, as for me, He has been doing really well and I have nothing to really complain about. I pray you all peace and plenty. Go with God.

Welcome, slots, and thanks for sharing your wonderful praise of God's healing!  God's Spirit works so well when we do not quench the Spirit or are not double minded.  God is faithful and will do what He has promised.  Too bad that sometimes we get in the way by trying to impose our will on Him, only to surrender as a last resort!  Bless you, friend!  Stop by the Prayers thread on the Off Topics message board if you get a chance, too!  Lots of good people there as well!

Be God's,

Through faith, belief and trust, prayers will be answered. Just go through the Bible (especially the Gospels and Acts) and see how prayer does so much. There have been so many actually healings in our church that its hard not to believe. For instance, there is a girl in our youth group whose leg had a break in it that had been there for a long time. They took X-rays and everything and could see the crack, but couldn't put a cast on it for whatever reason. But she was prayed over after the next set of X-rays and before they got the results back the doctors said they don't know what happened but there is nothing there anymore.

This is just one but I know of many many more. Including a girl healed from cancer.

Trust, faith, and surrenderence to God and you will be ok.

 Dear Lord,

Please provide my good friends Jenn and Graham with patience and love as they await to hear some important news regarding Jenn's health. Please let your love fill their hearts regardless of what response they receive from the doctors. I ask you help her family through this nervous time and let them feel the comfort of your love and guidance. In your name I pray. Amen.

Psalm 27:14
"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."

As difficult as it is, waiting on the Lord always pays off in the long run. God knows the perfect solution to all life's situations. All we need do is ask His divine guidance and help, and He will make all things good. Wait on the Lord!

Hear my prayers, O Lord, and fill me with a patience that will see me through even the longest dry spells. I know that You will do what is best for me. Amen.
