Prayers

A place to encourage members of the CBS Community who come here voluntarily to share positive messages, lift up injured athletes and other important persons in our lives, honor those athletes and individuals who express their faith, and provide support to Community members who seek it in time of need.  Isn't that what a Community does?

This is not a place of debate.  It is a place for positive interaction and assistance to Community members who want to talk sports without obscenities and share hope for our personal growth.

Prayers

bite to eat at McD's.

Michael,

I was a parts delivery driver in Southern California at the dawn of history and I ate the same lunch at MickeyD's every weekday for over a year:

Big Mac, Filet of Fish, Chocolate Shake!

Every once in a while I still indulge myself similarly!

All God's love to you and yours!

Prayers

Mornin' Jack.

Yeah, each of the fast food places have their 'best' in my book. BK Whopper, Hardee's Thickburger, Wendy's Chili, etc. Those are just a few of my little 'vices' I indulge in ever so often. Laughing

Have a great day.

VOD 03/05/09: Be An Example To Children

Verse:

Deuteronomy 6:7
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. (KJV)

Thought:

Each day we are to begin with God. Each breath we take is a powerful reminder that He has granted us another day of life to serve Him. Each heartbeat is God's drumbeat of love, reminding us that we are blessed with another minute to offer Him our best. This blessing is so easily forgotten. We best remember when we teach it, show it, and live it with and before our children.

Prayer:

Our Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this day and all of Your blessings. Thank You for this breath we take and for the heartbeat that sustains our lives. Make us aware as we travel, talk, rest, and work that You are there and are worthy of our intentional best.

We pray these things in the name of Your most Holy Son, Jesus the Christ…Amen.

Good morning to all. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours for a safe and blessed day.
May God Bless.

VOD 03/04/09: We Are Not Alone

Verse:

Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (NIV)

Thought:

Never alone. What a promise. As Psalm 139 emphasizes later, Joshua hears first hand. God will go with him, and us, through all the seasons of life, through all our ups and downs, through temptations and triumphs, even through death. So we can take courage and feel his strength. We are not alone!

Prayer:

Our Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this day and all of Your blessings. Thank You for being there and staying there when all others forsake and leave. You are the one constant in our lives, which is so full of change. Help us become more steadfast and faithful in our commitments and relationships to honor You and to learn more about You.
We pray these things in the name of Your most Holy Son, Jesus the Christ…Amen.

Good morning to all. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours for a safe and blessed day.
May God Bless.

Prayers

BB, good to see you old friend and hope all is well with you.

Michael, I will keep your service to the Lord in my prayers.  I am thankul to see at least one church who still has a Wednesday night service.  Most around here do not and even my old church in Arkansas no longer had one.  I want to be active in that church and get the children back in there as I was when I was a kid.  We had pot luck Wednesday night and all the youth came.  When I went there last year, there wasn't any youth there and actually very few middle age people either.  Please keep the churches in prayer and the people who used to attend.
