Tigers put Zumaya on DL with shoulder soreness

NEW YORK -- Joel Zumaya throws hard, but he also gets hurt.

Sure enough, Zumaya is back on the Tigers' disabled list, after hurting his shoulder in a 5-3 loss to the Yankees Friday night.

"I can't lift my arm right now," Zumaya told reporters after the game. He said he was going back to Detroit for an MRI exam.

The Tigers recalled rookie right-hander Ryan Perry from Triple-A Toledo to take Zumaya's roster spot.

Tigers put Zumaya on DL with shoulder soreness

You know, more and more this year, I have noticed a trend from the sport that generates the biggest lies and liars ("I never took steriods, period!).

I guess there is now an illness called "I SUCK AND CANNOT CONTRIBUTE" that causes players such as Dontrelle Willis and Joel Zumaya to go on the DL.  And our intelligence is insulted with such phrases as "shoulder soreness" and "anxiety disorder".  Why not be honest for the first time and placed these guys on the DL for reasons such as "CAN'T THROW A STRIKE TO SAVE HIS LIFE" or "CAN'T GET A HIT IF YOU TOSSED IT UNDERHANDED TO HIM", or "CAN'T GET ANYBODY OUT" or "SUCKS DEFENSIVELY".

Guitar Hero, Wildfires, and pitching.

Three things that will put Joel Zumaya on the DL.
