After getting Victor Martinez from the Indians, the Red Sox turned around and traded Adam LaRoche to the Braves, CBSSports.com has confirmed.
The Braves will send Casey Kotchman to the Red Sox, a source told CBSSports.com.
The Red Sox acquired LaRoche from the Pirates earlier this month.

Red Sox send Adam LaRoche to BravesWhy not trade kelly johnson so we dont have to see him come back and hit the ball well and get us all excited for his "potential" We've been down this road with him time and time again, with the same results. I like johnson but he is soooo inconsistent and once he has a nice game or two bobby cox creams his pants and plays him everyday...

Red Sox send Adam LaRoche to Bravesfrom the braves standpoint i dont like the trade either, but for hitting reasons. but as far as feilding they are about equal. laroche only has one error this season as opposed to kotchman having none. i guess it helps our batting lineup, with laroche hitting fourth followed by mccann escobar anderson and diaz.

You just trade for v mart who can play 1st c and dh you have a good first baseman youk and over at third you have lowell. then only thing i can guess are redsox are phasing out lowell but if thats the case then v mart would be good enough cause he can play 1st while youk moves to third. but the Braves what the hell were they thinking. Laroche is good but not as good as the solid kotchman.
