How will Matt Holliday's struggles at the plate affect his trade value? For now, Padres GM Billy Beane told the San Jose Mercury News he doesn't feel an urgency to deal Holliday if the A's appear out of contention by the July 31 trade deadline.

Oakland would get two high draft picks if Holliday left via free agency after the season.

One scout says the economy is hurting Holiday, who is making $13.5 million this season.

Matt Holliday's trade value

Whomever is writing these rumors is an IDIOT. There are hardly any rumors anymore, and its Athletics not Padres GM Billy Beane.
