How is Drabek and Brown the farm, but Carrasco, Marson, Donald and Knapp are not?!

Prior to the 2009 season, Carrasco & Marson were the top 2 prospects in the Phillies farm system! They were 28 and 43 respectively in all of baseball according to This was not a fleecing of CLE. This was not a God-send! This was not the best that the Phillies could have gotten!

The Phillies needed a dominant RHP. They did not get that in this trade. No disrespect to Lee, but he's not Halladay. And with 3 other lefties in the rotation (2 if Moyer or Happ get sent to the BP), it leaves the team vulnerable to lineups which are loaded with right handed batters.

This move is better than no move at all - which is something I've gotten used to in previous years. But the right move at this time was for Halladay. Now all we can do is watch how it all plays out.

This is a steal for the Phillies.  They got a CY Young pitcher without giving up any of their top prospects.  If they don't take the east I'll be shocked.
