Wang, who had shoulder surgery in July, went 1-6 with a 9.64 ERA for the Yankees last season before shutting it down for the surgery. In 2006, he was 19-6 with a 3.63 ERA and in '07, the Japanese pitcher was 19-7 with a 3.70 ERA.

The right-hander, 29, will likely begin the season on the disabled list. He is also receiving interest from the Dodgers and Mets.

Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated reported on his Twitter page Wednesday morning that Dodgers GM Ned Colletti and one of the team's top executives plan on watching Wang throw at some point today.
