Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier is expected to land on the 15-day disabled list, MLB.com is reporting.

Ethier broke his right pinkie during batting practice on Saturday. His finger was placed in a splint on Sunday.

Ethier leads the National League in the Triple Crown categories. The right fielder is tops in batting (.392) and RBI (38) and is tied with Arizona's Kelly Johnson in homers (11).

really? dumbest post you've ever seen?  wow, you don't read too many of these posts.  Seems to me that a sudden jump from decent production hitter to triple crown contender in one season is pretty suspicious.  Especially in light of all of the reports from doping agencies about new masking drugs and the inefectiveness of testing.

That'll rob the upcoming Tigers-Dodgers series of one of the 2 primary TC contenders in each league(Cabrera, Ethier), but still should be a fine series.
