Lions vs. Titans - Thanksgiving Day

Earlier this week, I had this crazy thought...kind of like a premonition of something!  Since it has to do with sports, I decided to share it.

Everyone is saying: "This is the year the Lions go 0-16."  I disagree.  Here is my prediction:

  • The Lions will lose the next two weeks (@Carolina and vs. Tampa Bay)
  • The Tennessee Titans will win the next two weeks (@Jacksonville and vs. NY Jets)
  • Therefore, the Titans will be 11-0 and the Lions 0-11 going into their Thanksgiving Day matchup.
  • The Lions will beat the Titans on Thanksgiving Day.
  • This will furthermore be the Titans only loss and the Lions only win of the regular season.

I'm not too sure about most of what I said.  For instance, I can't root against the Lions the next two weeks.  Also, I can't root for the Titans against the Jets, now that the Jets have Brett Favre...it's just wrong.  Therefore, only hold me accountable for the bold, underlined part of my prediction.

You may think I'm crazy, but the NFL has been full of surprises this year.  I mean, the Titans 9-0 so far?  I would like to know how many NFL writers/analysts predicted THAT!

Lions vs. Titans - Thanksgiving Day

Oh OK, I will add my note of optimism:

The Lions didn't let the Titans into the end zone in the second half.  By doing this, they didn't let Tennessee get more touchdowns than the Lions did first downs.  By the way, it ended up five and five - five TD's for the Titans and five first downs for the Lions.  That's something to build on, isn't it?

I figured out why the Lions are so bad.  Did anyone else see the commercial where the whole Lions team was supporting the NFL's active generation progream?  Admirable I admit, but without wins, there are no reporters to show the nation how great of people you are.  So spend that extra time practicing, so maybe you can get a win this year!

No offense is meant by that last comment, I guess I am just frusterated (is anyone that calls themselves a Lions supporter NOT?)  Anyways, heres to hoping that the Arizona - Philadelphia game is closer than the first two - hasn't exactly been exciting Thanksgiving Day football thus far...

For the final time, Happy Thanksgiving.

Lions vs. Titans - Thanksgiving Day

Weellll then...At least I was right that history would be made - the Lions worst Thanksgiving Day loss EVER...

You can't blame me for trying...

I don't even want to comment on the game.  Maybe some other time...

Anyways, congrats to you Titans fans...and also you Cowboys fans...

Didn't ruin my Turkey Day!

Go Lions!

Lions vs. Titans - Thanksgiving Day

Hey Pin!  Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!  As for whether or not to play Kevin Smith, it is a toss up.  What I will say is:  If you start him, he'll do bad/not play.  If you don't start him, he'll play and be amazing.  So I would say, don't start him!

Lions vs. Titans - Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving Muffin.  I cannot root for the Lions today as they are playing the Titans.  I have struggled with whether or not to play Kevin Smith.  He is hurt and questionable for today.  Hope you have a wonderful day.  Let's both enjoy the game. TTYL

Lions vs. Titans - Thanksgiving Day

Scene seven: Muffin Man leads the Lions onto the field to the tune of "Enter Sandman", then the music fades as he claps his hand and says " We are the Lions, the mighty mighty Lions umph ahhhhh" the team follows Muffin onto the field emulating every move and word!

lol Lennon, painted a picture in my mind!  And the Lions DO need a leader...

They get to the sidelines where all of the cheer leaders hug and kiss the Muffin Man as he yells out "Win one for the Muffin!"

That would be the best part...

MM, have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Thanks Lennon and I will!  A very happy Thanksgiving Day to you too!  That goes for everyone - enjoy your Turkey Day and watch the Lions upset the Titans!  And if you see someone in a muffin suit lead the Lions onto the field, marvel at the fact that you know that guy!
