So as I landed yesterday in another city, I went to find a place to watch the Ball Game and grab a bite to eat. This got me thinking about how many different Sports Bars and restaurants I have been to over 20 years of traveling. "What a great idea for a blog" I thought. Maybe I could get some new places to try if I just asked the people on CBS SPORTSLINE. So here is the question. Where is your favorite Sports Bar or Restaurant and what is the name. How is the food and what is the Best thing on the menu, you know the reason you eat there.

Hooters is always a favorite.  But as of know I would have to say that my favorite is the Long Island Ale House.  The Ale House is all around the state of Florida, but they just opened the one on Lond Island like 4 months ago.  Huge variety of beers, good bar food and tons of TV's all over the place.

Hey, if you come to the Virginia Beach area, you might want to try Buffalo Wild Wings or Crazy Wing Cantina.  They are both great places.  Always people waiting to get in.

Those were the days Mando. Everyone seem to get along also even if they were routing for the other teams.

A quick travel back in time.  I remember when Fantasy Football was first introduced to me.  I was bartending at Ruby Tuesday's and the stats were tabulated on paper.  Budweiser sponsored the league and it brought a very loyal group into watch football Sunday afternoons.  Potato Skins and Wings were the orders of a lot of days.  Sponsors sprung for a $100 food and drink tab for the winners of each week.  I've been hooked on fantasy sports ever since.

I am not a big fan of sports grills and bars as I live in a city where there are no pro sports teams here, so you always end up sitting in an environment with obnoxiously divided fan bases. I really like a good rivalry discussion, but the fans of both my favorite school and their nemesis  fans cannot have an intelligent discussion , only arguments.  I would however take you to a nice little pool hall/sports grill & bar called Olivers.  They have pretty decent food with the usual array of TV's spread around. This place opened in the 70s and still looks like it. Only one flat screen by the bar, but it's smoke free, no minors, at least 20 Oldhausen full size tables. There is music playing all the time, but not so loud as to make conversation difficult. There are little tables to eat at by the pool tables so you can play and eat at the same time. They have $1 an hour pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so it's a real nice place to hang with a friend if you enjoy billiards and talk without dropping 50-60 dollars in a couple of hours.

Sadur if you ever go to West Palm Beach, FL  try Jerseys Sports Bar on the corner of PGA and A1A, I have never had a bad meal there and their wings are the BOMB! Not to mention the great service and all the TVS! Did I mention the SCENERY is VERY EASY ON THE EYES!!

Sadur if you come to Denver skip the Hotters and go to the Blake Street Tavern. It is right across the street from Coors Field. It is a pretty unique bar and has some great food. If you have never been to Coors Field by all means do that. It is a beautiful field. After you have eaten at Blake St. Tavern go up Blake St. to El Chapultepec a little hole in the wall jazz club where the big names of jazz have played and you never know who might show up.

Well hooter's is one of the better chains and I have been in a few of them, so I will add it to the list. Caesar's is very familiar GTA. The CES show is in Vegas every year, Great Place.

Best I ever been to was the sports book and bar at Caesar's palace in Vegas.  Anything that belongs in a sports bar, they have it.

Nice topic Sad.

I have to agree with Hooters. But I am going to go with the one in the Mall of America in the Twin Cities. Always a hopping place, especially on game days. The girls are always friendly and, in my opinion, the food is better then the others.
